No question about that, Wando is lucky to have such a strong student fan base support them

I would like to know why noone has competed with Wandos Fan section. they have a drum, crazy chants that dont make sense half the time, and a couple horns. i find it very entertaining and would love to watch any other school with fans like those at Wando

South Carolina High School League rules prohibit the use of "artificial noisemakers" at league events.

Kids play sports because they find it fun. Eliminate the fun and soon you eliminate the kid.

What's an "artificial" noisemaker? The drum is real. LOL

Thats good to see students support their soccer team such as Wando. Two years ago I think many would agree that South Aiken had the best fans. Last year, I would say Northwestern may have had the best fans along with some others. When Northwestern and South Aiken fans both out numbered local teams such as Irmo and Spring Valley at the state championships which are held in Columbia, its a pretty good showing.

I don't what people have against soccer, but even if asked, students normally won't attend games. However, when football rolls around, they all show up. This is true sometimes even if your football team is horrible and your soccer team competes for state.

One thing I have noticed is that when football rolls around, its more of a social gathering for students instead of watching the game. When students show up for soccer they are there for the team and the game.

Good point temaspirit. Thats happenin to us this year. The football team didnt win a single game n got blown out all the time, but yet the games were majorily full. We made playoffs last year n we still can't get people to come out n support. I love it wen i go to a high school soccer game n they have strong fan support.
