Both Lexington and Dutch Fork have work to do in order to win their respective regions. South Aiken has a game up on both Irmo and Lexington and the loser of the Irmo vs Lex game this Friday will dig themselves an even deeper hole. It'll also be interesting to see if Aiken or White Knoll can steal a victory from any of those three teams. In region 5 SV won the first match between DF and SV and controls its own destiny when they play this friday. If DF were to win it would come down to some tiebreaker assuming both teams take care of business in their second games against both RV and RNE.

SA isn't a game up on Irmo, they split with Irmo winning 3-1 at South Aiken and South Aiken winning 1-0 at Irmo. Irmo holds the goal differential over SA even though I'm not sure what the region tie breaker is. You are right though Midland that the loser of the Irmo Lexington game will have to win out to even have a chance at winning the region.

I am just curious what happens to your predictions if Dorman wins friday night.

Dorman beat Mauldin earlier in the season 2-0. A Dorman win this Friday would give them the tie breaker between the two schools.

Irmo took a bit hit in winning the region by losing last night, and it seems that Irmo, SA, and Lex are all beating up on one another with a close race to the finish. I still think that Lex will pull it off.

In another close race, if Dorman keeps losing to Spartanburg and Hillcrest, then another win over Mauldin will not matter. They could be looking at a 3rd or 4th place in the region.

WF/SF first game is Friday night. That should set the mood for region 6.

Lex needs to sweep Irmo and beat SA to win in the region. I highly doubt they will sweep Irmo (if Irmo is at full strength)
