you play the game to win. If you don't want to win then what are you doing?

Columbia United FC Clash of the Carolinas UPDATE - PLEASE READ!!!

There has been a change in housing arrangements for the games. In an effort to make sleeping arrangements more comfortable for our players our funds have allowed us to book more rooms. Players will now be housed two per room, in stead of four. Both boys' teams will be staying at the Comfort Suites North Charleston about 10 minutes from Daniel Island. The contact information is as follows: Comfort Suites - www.choicehotels.com -- 2540 North Forest Drive, North Charleston - (843)725-5400.

ALL PLAYERS WILL STILL REPORT TO BLACKBAUD STADIUM on Friday July 6th. Transportation will be provided to the Comfort Suites, if needed.

We suggest that any parents who have booked the Hampton Inn on Daniel Island consider keeping those rooms as they are much closer to the game site and the banquet and they will be cheaper. Parents, book your rooms now. The Hampton Inn contact information is: 160 Fairchild Street, Charleston, SC 29492 (843)216-6555 or 1-800-Hampton.

Tell the folks at Hampton Inn you are with the high school all-star soccer games, and they should give you a special rate. There is no such agreement with the Comfort Suites.

I ASSUME (knowing that is dangerous) that we will be picking up match and banquet tickets when we arrive Friday?

As of leaving for OKC, I had not received any by mail but have paid. . .

Thought all would like to know—

The "plan" is as follows:

When the players check in Friday for registration, we will hand them an envelope with their banquet tickets and game tickets. Again, this is the "plan".

We look forward to a great weekend!

For those in the Lowcountry area:

We would greatly appreciate your support of high school soccer by attending the Columbia United FC "Clash of the Carolinas" North Carolina vs. South Carolina All-Star Soccer Games Saturday, July 7 at Blackbaud Stadium.

The girls match is at 3:00 p.m. followed by the boys match at 5:00 p.m. and the nightcap is the host Charleston Battery taking on the Puerto Rico Islanders. Tickets are $8 and will get you in to all three matches.
