Pinewood cannot be stopped in the SCISA playoffs. Last night, the Panthers pulled out a victory against a motivated PG team and the worst ref ever seen in SC. Heathwood will be a pushover on Monday, follwed by domination of Hammond, Cardinal Newman, or PG if we get to embarrass them at their home field in the Championship game.

Pinewood embarrassed themselves with their postgame celebration after beating the fourth ranked team in SCISA in PK's, i won't be surprised if they don't make the finals. But i guess that is what you expect from Jedburg's finest. Check your spelling on FOLLOWED i'm glad the top rate education offered by pinewood paid-off, no wonder your best player is going to the prestigious North Greenville College.

I sure would have liked to seen Pinewood perform better at the Palmetto Cup. Pretty embarrassing display in Columbia!

Pinewood should not look at hammond as the same "pushover" as in the past. Hammond is healthy and playing well, quite a different team than Pinewood has seen the past 2 years. Pinewood should blow Heathwood off the field on Monday.

finkle,

Pretty harsh statements, particularly calling out a player like that. You may not like the fact that it's been at least 4 years since Porter Gaud has been able to defeat Pinewood on the soccer field, but your post is pretty petty don't you think? Why shouldn't they celebrate the victory? It kept the streak alive of not losing a region game in over 4 years. Couple that with the raucus home student section, difficult referee situation, and teenage testosterone. You can however take credit and the associated satisfaction of being the only SCISA team to score on Pinewood this year, even though it was a very questionable call. Up until this point your posts have been pretty positive about all teams, so clearly it was and is a bitter pill for you to swallow, how close you guys came to pulling it out.

Johnny Q and drop kick, personally I think embarrassing is a little harsh. Somehow I don't really understand how losing to the defending, and quite possibly repeating 4A state champion, a 1 goal loss to currently 2nd ranked 4A team, and a 1 goal loss to the tournament finalist should be considered embarrassing.

longtime, don't worry Pinewood is not looking past anyone.

well said Bear. for everyone else, rather than complaining and/or boasting about the past and what has happened, focus on the future, perhaps the state playoffs. if you've got something to say, prove it on the field...not with your mouth. and for the record, in my opinion at least, talking poorly about teams, especially individual players, is uncalled for.
