sorry atleast 7 were looked at...
well arnt you special for knowing them

Statements like yours are what caused all of this trash talking to start. Not knowing what you are talking about and making PP more than what it is, average. They have good players but the percentage of Seniors with scholarships is average. Good team with good players so made up stats are not needed.......and I know that a great percentage of all stats are made up on the spot. Good luck to PP in the playoffs.

i'm confused. are you saying that pinewood is just an "average" team? three state championships in a row doesn't sound average to me at all

What kind of team will PP have next year? Loosing 8 or so starters will likely be painful. Maybe he really meant next year they will be "average"...Who will dominate next year? Who is loosing the least # of starting seniors? PG,Hammond,??

I am saying that they are average as far as recruiting is concerned for Colleges. I'm taking nothing from the past players or current ones just trying to keep things in perspective. The players and coaches have accomplished more than enough without having to add bogus statements to make them look better. PP will continue to be competitive next year with the returning players but a state championship, I don't know. I have seen most of PP players kicking the ball since they were in Micro soccer and most can play in College, all my statement said was 7 of 8 were not offered that option.

Most college coaches recruit more from the club teams than the high school teams. When you look at SCISA, there are some very good players on almost every team, atleast those in the larger city areas. When you look at the number of students and the number of eligible players there is no possible way to assemble teams the caliber of the larger public schools. Considering the size of the schools I would have to say that Pinewood represented themselves well in the Palmetto Cup. As far as how many players in SCISA are college level players, those percentages are probably pretty good, considering the numbers. Most SCISA players that are looked at by colleges are recognized from their club play, not their high school games. A number of the all-region and All-State players are successful club players.

haha thats funny allstar. ive been waiting for my account registration to go through just to post something like that.

and finkle...i dont expect a reply just because you are studying so hard but i hope that at least you find time to look at the message board sometime soon. i think the reason PP may have been "obnoxiously gloating" after the win against Porter may be in retaliation to similarly obnoxious trash-talking from the porter players and fans. You say it embarrasses pinewood but it should equally embarrass Porter. The same obnoxious cheers and trash-talking came from the porter side during the match and before PK's until it had to stop with a PP win....im sure PP is sorry if Porter's feelings are now hurt....and JEDBURG'S FINEST will be playing in your stadium (if you are a Porter fan, although, its possible i am mistaken) on saturday in their fourth consecutive championship. you should come watch. PP will hope to represent the lowcountry well.

After PG's second place finish at the Palmetto Cup in 2003, they suffered from poor turnout at the tournament due to spring break conflicts. PG actually was invited last year (I'm not sure about this year) and the coach put it up to a vote on the part of the players and parents, who decided that because the team could not commit themselves fully to the tournament, they should not attend.
