It looks like the Girls 92 ODP team will do well at Region Camp in July. This weekend at the CESA Memorial Day Tournament, they defeated the u-16 SC champions from CUFC 3-0 and tied u-16 CESA premier 0-0 before losing to them 3-1 in a re-match. Way to work girls!

This ODP team has had more practices then what we've seen in the past with ODP teams. Marty Beal has done great in pulling together these players to play like a "team" at the Memorial Day tournament. They should do much better in the Region Camp this year then in the past. It shows that the ODP program can work. It would be great if this group could actually play some tournaments together.

I saw this team play a couple of games over Memorial Day weekend. They looked very good and were fun to watch.

Kids play sports because they find it fun. Eliminate the fun and soon you eliminate the kid.

scysa must be demanding more training sessions and effort from the odp coaches to get the team/players better prepared for region camp. i'm not sure if the scysa odp coaches are getting paid very well but they seem to be stepping it up a notch or two.

i would not expect for any sc-odp team to do well at region camp.

Marty Beal has done a great job with this team. He has taught them a style of play, in the short time he has had them, that is exciting for the players and fun to watch. One of the first coaches to teach exactly how to play an attacking offensive system and each player's roles in that system. The players, especially the forwards, mids, etc, have learned a lot.

I agree my daughter is on the 92 team and she is learning stuff that is really making a differance in her game. I think Marty is doing a great job. He is very demanding with the girls but in turn has always been positive with them, even when they make mistakes. He is real big on recover and not hanging your head. OK you tried something and it did not work, now keep going, make something else happen, is his attitude.
