The CESA 92 Premier boys played incredibly well during the entire tournament racking up an '07 Showcase division high of 9 goals with just 1 goal allowed.
Premier league rival, GSA, was the wild-card opponent in the semi-final. After loosing to CESA the last two times out, GSA managed to hit a beautiful shot from roughly 20 yards out from right to left that kissed the inside of the back post and then hit net with four minutes remaining in regulation.
CESA followed with a relentless barrage of shots from multiple players, which were all blocked or saved prior to the final whistle. GSA went on to win the Championship, but the semi could have gone either way as both teams had excellent opportunities as well as defensive stands.
Congratulations to our boys for delivering so many incredible performances during the season and finally during such a high profile tournament. It was an absolute pleasure to see the individual skill of so many committed players come together with such precision and consistency.
Irmo, Greenville, Northwestern, Eastside, Southside Christian, Spartanburg to name a few. Five players are from Clemson, Spartanburg, Rock Hill and Columbia while the others are from Greenville.
Thanks for all the recommendations. I didn't get to any of those places this year because we left on the morning of the 26th to head down to Ft. Lauderdale. I'll try to hit them next year.
