I agree...hence the term pre-season tourneys. It's baffling to me that people want those to count in W-L records when the regular season hasn't even begun. I've read the posts that talk about paying refs, trohpies, etc. but we pay refs for scrimmages and those don't coubnt. Besides, the games that really matter are region anyway.
If you are paying referees for scrimmages then you are a very benevolent person because that is not required by the S.C. High School League. Any tournament match counts in the W-L-T columns just like regular season games and playoff matches. The only match that does not count is a "scrimmage" or a "friendly".
