Dear Sick,
Here we go again. Same song, same dance, different year. I ignored it last year, but not this one. Like any other team Stratford plays some teams that are weaker than others. Just like every one else. Savage has not played an 80 minute game against any team that you listed. Yes, he scored against them, but had to do so within 29 to 40 minutes. Coach would not allow it. He has too much class. I don’t think anyone in or out of soccer would disagree with that. I take serious offence with your comments concerning our coach. A respected man who recently returned from overseas, away from his wife and two very small children, serving our country and protecting an idiot like you. His sacrifices’ allow you the freedom to get on here and trash him. The coach is nothing but CLASS. As far as Savage is concerned, maybe you need to be educated (if that’s possible). He has scored against Wando, Beaufort and Fort Dorchester, none whom I would call weak. He didn’t score against Summerville because he played sweeper that game- he did manage an assist though. In fact, this season he has played defense, center-left-right mid in several games. Savage has good games and sometimes not as good as he would like. He scored 56 goals last high school season. According to a few Chapin players, Savage is the only player that they knew of to have ever scored 5 goals in one game against them. That was last season when they only gave up 27 goals all season long. There is not a single Region VII or VIII coach (and others) that doesn’t know his capabilities. They prepare part of their game plan with Savage in mind. Yes, I know about the phone calls. He’s still getting the ball in the net, but having to bust his butt - being a marked man. And it’ fine with him, he believes that it will make him a better player. To carry it even further, he is the top scorer for his Bridge team. Was leading scorer out of all 32 USSF U-16 academy teams nationwide more than halfway threw the season. Strong teams from all over the country – some stronger than others ( weird isn’t it ? ). An ankle injury resulted in him missing 4 games and playing limited in several more, so I’m not sure where he stands at this time in the Academy League concerning stats. Also, in his first ODP experience last summer he was a camp holdover in Mississippi. I promise that it had nothing to do with who is daddy was. There are two D1 and a few D2 college coaches that think differently than you do. So, I reckon you are more knowledgeable than all the high school, club, ODP and college coaches. Savage works hard daily to improve his game, not many days go by, year round, without him touching a soccer ball. Yes, he has a soccer field in his yard. He loves and respects the game. It’s his life; some would say more than it should be. More importantly than all of the above, he’s a good person. He’s respectful, cares about his family and friends and has never been in any trouble at all. Grades run close to the 4.0 mark. He would never get on an open form like this and talk trash like you do. Especially, since you know nothing about what you state. Those are just some of the facts. Savage’s only problem is – let’s see, how does my old friend put it – (and you know who you are)
 his dad “can be difficult at times”.
