Byrnes was within about a dozen minutes of getting this slot, but Hillcrest pulled it out last night. That gave Hillcrest the dubious honor of meeting Northwestern in the first round. Certainly not an enviable position, IMHO.

How does this make any sense?
South Aiken and Lexington tie in region record. But SA is #2 because they beat Irmo??? They lost to Aiken does that count?

I was told the tiebreaker was out of region non tournament games

SA wins over Evans, Richmond Academy, Swansea, Silver Bluff and loses to Greenwood, BC

Lexington wins over Dorman, Dutch Fork, Dreher loses 1-0 to SV and 2-1 in OT to northwestern and still has to play Greenwood... I am biased but come on... who has the tougher non region schedule?

Furthermore Lex beat SA in regulation in SA and lost in PKs in Lex which someone once told me it is essentially a tie.

I cannot see how this can be correct.

Region 8 is still up in the air. Beaufort plays West Ashley tonight and Fort D on Thursday. Beaufort has 2 loses, WA has 2, Fort D has 2, and Summerville had 3. So alot still can happen.

Imports post has lexington at the #2 seed. Futbol, being the three seed would be more benefical to lexington anyways. They would have to go on the road, but wouldn't have to play northwestern until the upstate final instead of in an earlier round. (Saying both teams were to make it that far)

You are correct Region 4 #3 would play them in the second round and #2 would be in the third round. I missread the bracket.
