There are some absolutely ridiculous matchups in round 2 of the playoffs. I think this is what makes SCHSL's seeding system so much fun.

Some of these matchups are so good they could be championship games.

The best:
Riverside vs Eastside

Lexington vs Mauldin

Almost as good:
Hilton Head vs Socastee

Dutch Fork vs James Island

All of the Upperstate AAAA matchups

AAA

Based on the latest rankings, Myrtle Beach (7) v B-C (8) should be a doozy. Daniel (12) v Blythewood (10) should also be a close match.

Only two games (Carolina Forest (NR) v Chapin (6) and Airport (4) v NMB (NR)) feature unranked teams, both of which are lower state matchups. All four upper state matchups feature ranked teams.

Every third year the AAA state champ has come from the
Columbia area. Dreher in 2002 B.C. in 2005 now it,s 2008.
I don,t think the lower end of the state has ever won it .The rest of the years has been Riverside or Eastside .
Lets go Airport ,B.C. Chapin ,Dreher, or Blythewood.I pull for eveybody From the Columbia Metro.
