Looking at the scoreboard and saw that this game is tonight. Any predictions after a shootout in the first game? Any players returning from injury or new players lost to injury? Pretty important game for that region I would think.

Prediction? Pain.
Honestly, I think FM pulls it out 3-1 with a putaway goal late in the second half. They're too deep.

The team I've seen is pretty deep. I haven't had a chance to look at Clover yet. How does it compare?
And yes, I realize I will be eating my words if FM loses.

Oh, and I hope you got the Rocky III reference. It wasn't intended as disrespect. Sorry if it was taken that way.

No, they're not. But, thankfully, they play with a lot of heart. Tonight was very tough, but they managed to pull it off. Four strong seniors and a gaggle of freshmen and sophomores

Lives in Tega Cay. Probably laying out by the pool or playing golf. Remember, FM won the big one last night, didn't they?

For those that missed it, too bad, it was a great game. IMO Clover out played FM and was up 2-0 in at the half. Dominating possession about 60\40, good trapping and passing. They got 2 clean goals, 1st off a defensive lapse by FM, 2d just a long shot over the keeper. 2d half was different and started out with a Clover injury in the first minute. FM scored shortly thereafter and the game went back and forth for the entire 2d half. With about 2 minutes in the game FM made a good run right down the middle of the field and got a goal. It was a killer. Clover had the game won but that's why they play 40 min. 1st OT, Clover possesed more and dominated with corner kicks ect 2d OT, same shoot out followed with excellent shooting from both teams. At the end, FM won 13-12, Both teams recycled the PK takers after the first 10 shots, Final score , FM 13, Clover 12
Now tell me Clover in not worthy of a top 15 spot? However, to be fair, FM was missing their C Midfielder and it showed.

Heard she got ACL or some other bad injury, this is what I heard in the stands, may or may not be true.

Clover rode completely over Nation Ford last night, 1st half was 0-0, final score was 2-0 but could have easily been 4-0, Clover pulled 3 starters for the last 10 minutes= good idea with 4 games this week. FYI, game was played at the Ft. Mill Middle field and is about 25% too small, corner kicks were a chip shot.

Ahhh...those lovely Fort Mill School District facilities. Not sure who decided that NF should not use Bob Jones Stadium for soccer. They were probably afraid that 8 soccer teams would tear it up too much. Word is, however, that the FMMS facility is a vast improvement over the band practice field where the Lady Falcons started their season

since some on here think that hurst66 living in the cay is filthy rich (which he may be)maybe he needs to fork out for a soccer complex in ft-mill.

Not sure that Springfield offers anything different than what FMMS has. Nation Ford facilities are a disgrace.
Farkas, I disagree with you a little. I got to the game maybe 5 minutes in......but the first 15-20 minutes I saw were fairly even and if there was an edge it was to Nation Ford.
But for 3/4 of the game yeah.....Clover totally controlled the midffield and the flow of the game. But give us our 20 minutes...
Also, we could have packed it in and didn't. Give the kids credit for attempting to go toe to toe. Clover doesn't have depth, but you do have Club soccer players at just about every position. We have about 5-6 in total, of which 2 are goalies.
You've played us twice and have a 1-1 record and a goal differential of exactly 1. Maybe "rode over" wasn't the best choice of words.

Someone or some group needs to work on that soccer complex in FM.
Clover def should be in Top 15 in 4A.

with two hard fought matches and a win over NF clover has a good argument to be in the top 15.on the other hand with clover not being in the top 15 at the time of these two games should FT MILL drop down any?

B Daddy, We'll you're correct. The first part of the game was back and forth. I really couldn't understand how NF played so well or we played so poorly in the first game. It really looked like a different team out there for NF. Were they missing any players? As for Ft Mill, dropping down is a real possibility if their C middie is out for the rest of the year.

I only saw the last 25 minutes of the first game.....all but the first 5 minutes of the second game
Differences? Clover midfield absolutely dominated us the other night. Alissa made great decisions with the ball and the entire midfield was superb at defending. The right midfielder was very dangerous and created numerous opportunities.
Don't recall that being the case for the first game. Clover held the ball that night....but they'd lose it, win it back, lose it, etc. Midfield was much more composed Tuesday night...made great decisions and executed well.
I also thought Clover combined much better in the attacking third the other night....then they did the first game. I'm sure the first point...about the midfield playing well, has a direct relationship to the second point...being more dangerous in attacking.
I thought the Lady Falcons gave Clover all they could handle in the first half....just as they did in the first game. But it fell apart in the 2nd half.
In terms of Fort Mill....they've now lost BOTH of the center midfielders slated to start. Bailey tore her ACL earlier in the year also.

Farkas,
Could you please have someone from Clover update your scores on the scoreboard? Need the results for your last three matches.
Thanks and good luck on Friday.
