Who has a chance at making a run in the 4A play-offs? Spring Valley? Irmo? Northwestern? or an underdog.

I think from the upperstate it will be irmo in the finals with a 2-1 win over northwestern in the semis. From lowerstate obviously Spring Valley is the favorite but i think an underdog will come out of there and surprise spring valley. Maybe wando, dutch fork, summerville, or someone along those lines will creep up on spring valley and beat them in lowerstate.

Irmo or Northwestern out of the upstate and Spring Valley or Wando from lowerstate. Dutch Fork can maybe suprise some people as long as they don't have to play a powerhouse like RNE...

I think it'll definitely come down to Irmo vs. NW in the upperstate. Don't count out Lexington, but they will probably have a much harder road. Does anyone know who would host that potential game if it plays out like that?

As for the lowerstate SV is the obvious favorite, but I think they are vulnerable especially if they are going to be down three starters. Its hard to judge where the Wando team is now due to the lack of big games down the stretch, but they always seem to have some say in who wins the lowerstate. Dutch Fork has played well and had good results the past three of four games and could be peaking at just the right time.

My darkhorse prediction is Mauldin in the upperstate.

3A Greenville All the way had to put it in the 4A forum b/c 3A has always been better than 4A

in general this years teams are horrible compared to last years team but thats just me...ive seen my old team play a few times against supposedly the best teams in the state and it was painful to watch

If I was a gambler, I would say that Spring Valley would win State. They have depth and no real weaknesses, however, I would have to agree with links5 and say that an underdog could definitely pull it off.
