jkr,

You’ll learn soon enough that there a few on this board who highjack threads daily w/many posts of silliness and nonsense. They run on for days like this with disregard to the original topic. My guess is that they haven't learned how to start a new thread or don't have access to texting/phones/e-mail.

Or it could just be that normal human conversation tends to flow naturally from topic to topic in an stream-of-consciousness style, with one comment triggering an association with a new tangent of thought without formal divisons or pauses. Saying, "but back to what we were originally talking about..." seems to be the primary accepted way to refocus the conversation to the original topic in polite society. It requires little effort and is considered in most cultures to be a normal and necessary element in an extended discussion.

It takes someone of intelligence like yourself to realize this and someone of more intelligence to appreciate it

Hey, who are you calling intelligent? I'm the biggest idiot redneck in Lowcountry soccer, remember?

(That would be a result of an association with a prior conversation, another indication of an active, processing mind.)

but back to what we were originally talking about...didn't this thread initially have something to do with RM and PJ staring dreamily into each other's eyes? or souls?

I don't know - it's all a little too much for me to think about. I just try to post the facts.
