To start the ball rolling, here are some travel options arranged by the Charleston Battery...options for air or bus travel:

Quote:

Sponsors and loyal Battery fans,

Tentatively we have on hold a plane (737) that will hold 150 people and we need to fill 120 seats to book the flight.

We need confirmation by noon on Tuesday August 19th if you are interested in going to the Championship Open Cup game in Washington DC via the following plan:

Leaves Charleston approximately 2 PM, Wed., Sept. 3rd for Dulles

Arrive Dulles approximately 3:30pm

Bus transportation to and from RFK

There will be time for post match celebration in DC

Depart DC/Dulles approx 2 AM, Thurs., Sept. 4rh

Arrive Charleston 3:30 AM

Cost is $500 per person includes flight, bus and game ticket

Please respond to me ASAP as to the number of seats/tickets you would like to purchase.

We have also secured buses for the trip to DC. Currently we have one held and we can have up to 4. The bus schedule is as follows:

Leaves Blackbaud Stadium at 7:30am on Wednesday, September 3rd.

SHOULD arrive to RFK by 4:30pm (bus trip should only 9 hours maximum, however better safe than sorry we are leaving early)

Bus will return home after match.

Excpected time of arrival back in Charleston: 7am on Thursday.

Cost is $90 per person and includes bus and game ticket

THANK YOU for your continued support and we hope you will join us to cheer on our boys to a National Championship!

The charter didn't get enough people, however, the bus(es) are filling up nicely. There will be watch parties in Charleston at the 3 Lions at Blackbaud Stadium (no charge for entry)...drinks only, no food. And also at Madra Rua, a popular Irish pub in North Charleston. Obviously, they will have their normal food menu, drinks, etc.

If you're still thinking of making the trip and aren't a bus rider, here's some more info on airline flights that you can make yourself. The last price I heard was about $250-260 round trip.
