Over 2,000 people at the match last night, absolutely every seat filled....standing room only.

Free admission, free cokes, free pizza.....good soccer. Not a bad night.

Hats off to Winthrop for not charging admission to the match but they should have had someone collecting donations for the foundation on the other side of the field. Winthrop has new stands on the far side of the field, behind both benches. No hat was passed around over there. I think more money could have been raised.

Winthrop has a good squad. I saw them play at USC and they outplayed the Gamecocks in the first half, second half was fairly even with USC scoring off a set play with 16 seconds remaining on the clock. I think Winthrop will do very well this year.
