Orlando, FL -- The College of Charleston and UCF battled to a scoreless draw for 90 minutes and in the third 45-minute stanza, Charleston out-dueled the Knights 2-1 on goals by juniors Kareem Yearwood (Tobago) and Zach Prince (Irmo HS). Senior Wes Knight (Wren HS) and Prince each tallied assists for the Cougars.
Charleston will open the regular season Friday at the adidas Soccer Classic at Davidson College (NC) versus Marshall at 5:00 p.m.
