US Youth Soccer and Adidas put on a fantastic event for the Region teams over the past four days at the Disney Sports Complex.

Region team players were provided tons of Adidas training gear, one pair of boots, outstanding training facilities, five star accommodations, food, daily game film review and airfare/ground transportation to and from Orlando.

Most importantly, matches were well attended by national team coaches, collegiate coaches and even MLS scouts.

Region III invitations are expected to go out soon for the next event to be held in Argentina in early March.

In three weeks all of the Region III players will meet again as rivals on their respective state teams during the Region III championship in New Orleans.

This is a very exciting time for South Carolina ODP. We are thankful to all coaches and organizers for creating an environment where players have the opportunity to take the game to the next level.

Well done boys and best of luck to the whole SC ODP 92 Boys team during the January Region Championship. We are very proud of each of you and excited for you!

Event cost per player was $350.

Glad you made home safely! I am so glad I don't live in Central Florida anymore. Unbelievable traffic.

Our SC guys played very well. Joey DeMare had an assist in the first game; Ricky Garbanzo a goal in the first game; Emmett Lunceford played great at right back (not his "normal" position) as well as in the midfield; Matthew Palma was solid; and Benjamin Limbaugh conceded once (an unsaveable OG) in his four halves in goal (with a few pretty nice saves).

In general, all of the games were very tight affairs. The quality of play was very high. It was great to see so many college coaches lining the sidelines and filling the stands. May the e-mails begin to roll in!

Congrats to all the 92 boys! Very well representing the state of South Carolina at Disney!!!!!! There wasn't a seat to be found with all the college coaches watching. This speaks very well for the ODP program in South Carolina!
