Since the State Cup games are upon us has SSC performed better without CESA management or were they the same as in previous years?

How can that question be answered if CESA never managed SSC?
They did win a title in the boys division but they also won one last year so I would guess the same as previous years...Give the new DOC some time..Rome was not built in a day

There was alot of emotion in the posts at the beginning of the year concerning the identity of SSC being lost if they were managed by someone else. Seems to be alot of issues for players and parents in the Charleston area.

SSC has been around for quite a while..some twenty five years or so..If you played soccer in Summerville it was either at the Y or SSC..There are parents of players today that played their youth soccer at SSC so to think that someone was going to come in and manage, change the colors and change the name was a hard pill to swallow for some..
Maybe going through all that turmoil might have made SSC stronger for the long run..Only time will tell
The face of soccer has changed over the last several years and the days of individual clubs pulling in several titles has dropped off and we see that clubs that have joined their resources having more success.
It does not mean that single clubs can not be successful..it's just going to take a more creative effort from everyone..

I generally agree with what you're saying. However I would like to add, it will also require a realistic expectation, understanding, and measurement of success. This is best suited for the club and it's membership to define and measure.

Exactly..If they want to keep the club local then they do not want to measure their success strictly on wins and losses against the big three..That goal would be difficult to obtain
