My picks for the Quarterfinals:
Wake Forest, North Carolina, St. John's, & Maryland ... that would give the ACC three teams in the Final Four -- geesh!

I played adult summer league club soccer with Northwestern men's head coach Tim Lenahan. We were teammates in South Jersey for four years while I was in college, from 1979 - 1982. He got a tremendous career boost in 1994 when the Saudi's decided to train for their World Cup matches at the D3 college he was coaching at the time, just outside of Atlantic City. As a result of this WC 94 experience, he had a valuable "jewel" drop into his lap. Check out his bio. He holds a very interesting distinction that no other US college coach can claim. http://nusports.cstv.com/sports/m-soccer/mtt/lenahan_tim00.htmlI'm pulling for Northwestern to take down the Heels.
Kids play sports because they find it fun. Eliminate the fun and soon you eliminate the kid.

North Carolina to play for men's title
Brian Shriver scored less than four minutes in and North Carolina advanced to the College Cup NCAA men's final with a 1-0 victory over top-seeded Wake Forest, the defending national champion.

FRISCO, Texas (AP) -- Graham Zusi's second-half goal gave second-seeded Maryland a 1-0 victory over No. 13 seed North Carolina in the NCAA College Cup championship game today near Dallas. Maryland beat North Carolina for the third time in as many meetings this season in the first all-Atlantic Coast Conference final in the 50-year history of the NCAA men's soccer tournament. Tar Heels defender Eddie Ababio blocked Jeremy Hall's first shot, but Zusi blasted a rebound into the left corner from 18 yards out past North Carolina goalkeeper Brooks Haggerty with 23:50 left. The Terrapins (23-3-0) won their third national title, finishing the season with a 16-game winning streak and denying North Carolina a sweep of the men's and women's titles. The Tar Heel women beat Notre Dame for the championship last Sunday. Maryland took the championship in 2005 and shared another national crown in 1968 when it tied Michigan State in the final. North Carolina (15-8-1) captured its only men's College Cup in 2001. Maryland Wins National Championship
