Walhalla alumni 3 Walhalla Varsity 2. Came out very flat against our alumni. They have alot of allstate and collegiate players it was a great experience. Hats off to the Alumni they are a very good side. Walhalla has their last scrimmage Monday against Seneca which is a first in a long time, that the two schools have played against each other. There are alot of players that have played club ball together which it should be a good game to watch. And a great friendly crosstown rivalry.

Boiling Springs 2
Rock Hill 1

Very back and forth game, but the better team won friday. Boiling Springs went down 1-0 about 15 min into the game. They scored the 2nd goal with under 2 minutes left in the game.

Going back to the Cardinal Newman-Airport scrimmage let me say that as a fan, I was very pleased with the level of intensity shown by both teams for an early season scrimmage with "nothing on the line". I know for many, it was an exciting reminder that high school soccer in SC is back. However, what was a very competitive and enjoyable match to watch was marred by the actions of Airport's head coach.

In a game where the fans for both teams were very spirited (not all of which I condone), it is understandable for emotions to run high, both in the stands and on the sidelines. But, to turn toward the stands, and raise a very visable middle finger to the opposing team's fans was both distasteful and disappointing. As a head coach, this gentleman is a representative of these young men, the school, that community, and himself. I hate this especially for these young men on his team who now have to be viewed in the same light as their coach. Classless, in my honest opinion, and shocking that this adult couldn't keep his emotions in check.

It still won't take away from the play on the field though, as both teams played well in early-season action. Good luck to both as the season continues on!

Huh? Any other reports of this action? Are the teams on the same sideline?

To whom it may concern:

There were no actions on my part or anyone on my staff of such things. I am sorry if anything was misconstrued but I am not worried about what goes on behind me on the field, only what is in front of me. I don't know what you may be talking about and as far as I am concerned I really do not care. The match was unbelievable as our boys have showed great determination and hard work this preseason. I am very proud of what we have accomplished so far in the season and I feel like that should be the topic on a message board if Airport High School is included. Again, I do not know what situation you are referring to as I am a professional and only care about the progression of my team. If you still feel the need to talk, feel free to send me a pm. I would be more interested in talking about the players on scsoccer, not myself or another coach or fan. Thanks.

AHS Coach

And yes both teams are on the same side.

Oops sounds like Floras having another standard year.

They were missing 4 starters and lost two more in the game including all four backs.

Ah so not deep then fair enough any other scrimmage scores for them? Obviously i'm an alum

Ive got to agree with the AHS coach, and also as a player we take alot of harassment from the fans most of which is uncalled for i can see where this Airport player was coming from they have a very good program there. Something had to have provoked him to commit the action in the way that he did kids just dont randomly give parents and fans "the bird".

As for the Ridge View/Lexington game, first of all i would like to give my congrats to both sides to a game well played. Justin B. Ridge Views keeper was excellent all game and it was a even match.

The first goal should have never made it in the goal it was a mis-communication with the players as to who was to clear the ball out.

The second goal scored on justin was a pk which was a fundamental mistake. He made a great save and it seemed that only Lexginton players crashed the goal and they finished it from there.

Without some of the fundamental mistakes by Ridge View the game probably would have been turned around big time in the blazers favor.
