The 2003 Palmetto Cup, hosted by Brookland-Cayce High School, will be held April 17-19 in Cayce-West Columbia, SC.

The 15-team field is highlighted by Class 4A #2 Dorman, Class 3A #2 Eastside, Class 1A #1 Christ Church, SCISA #1 Pinewood Prep, and Virginia entry Atlee of Mechanicsville.

The tourney will be held at Brookland-Cayce's "The Cage" (1300 State Street, Cayce) and at Lexington Two District Stadium on the campus of Airport HS (1315 Boston Avenue, West Columbia).

Admission is $4 per match or a tourney pass is availabe for all matches for $12.

Looks like a great tournament! Doesn't Dutch Fork usually play in this tournament? Where are they, did they get invited back? Should be some great games this week across the river.

Mr. J.B. Owens - I couldn't agree more that CC is the best private school in the state and that BE is right behind them. But, sir (or madam), that is not what you said.

Now, if you want to declare PG the best in SCISA based on performance this coming weekend, you need to get your head out of the sand. PG somehow managed to get the easiest draw in the history of the tournament. Agreed, BC is traditionally a power, but this is a rebuilding year for them.

BTW, check your schedule, BE is not even playing this weekend.

AND QUIT SHOUTING! Geez.
