The 2009 Julian Brown Memorial Cup, sanctioned by US Club Soccer, is hosted in Charlotte, NC the weekend of April 18-19, 2009 through the joint efforts of Charlotte United FC and the Julian Brown Memorial Fund. It is named for a young man who was fatally injured on April 18, 2004, in a tour bus accident near Paris, France following his U-14 North Carolina Olympic Development Soccer Team’s participation in an international tournament.
