Matches and predictions?

I think the rematch of Socastee and NMB will be a pretty big one and one that could make the playoff picture interesting for lower state.

irmo v. white knoll... easy to predict, but interesting considering the first game had 13 goals...

all the region 8 remaining games could go either way
summerville
fort d
west ashley
beaufort... important to finish 1 or 2 in this region for playoffs, region 8 matches up with region 5
irmo
white knoll
dutch fork
lexington... four teams ranked in the top 11...

In 3A, Region 2 has some good matches left to play. Greenville has to play both JL Mann and Eastside. That could make for an interesting finish in that region. Plus you have the usual Eastside/Riverside match, which this could be the first time in many years that this game will not determine who the region champ will be!

I know region 8 2-A does not get a lot of attention, but, Loris and Marion play on May 1 in Marion. Both teams are playing for second in the region and a better playoff seeding. Marion won big the firs time, but, since then, Loris has been playing well. It ought to be a good one.

The following is from ESPN Rise:

"OK, it's a little too early to talk about potential state semifinal matchups, but what if form holds in South Carolina?

FAB 50 No. 1 Northwestern (Rock Hill, S.C.) and No. 2 Irmo (Columbia, S.C.) could see each other in the Class AAAA Upper State final, which serves as a South Carolina state semifinal contest. And if both remain undefeated, it would be the first FAB 50 No. 1 vs. 2 playoff match since..."

Isn't irmo in the lower state this year?

In AA, Emerald vs. Walhalla should be a good one. Also, Batesburg-Leesville vs. South Aiken is shaping up to be a very good game. All four of these teams are having great years and both games should be exciting.

I haven't seen BL but from what I have heard they are solid. It will be a good match with S. Aiken, they have a very good balanced team as well.

Everything in Region 2 will shape up to good as well in 3A

Bishop England at Wando Wednesday 7PM

BE won last time 2-1. Players from the same club teams for the last 10 years playing their last games against each other.
