Hurst,
If Dorman beats Hillcrest tonight, Dorman finishes second based on least goals against head to head with Spartanburg.
Dorman won 4-0 then Spartanburg Won 2-0.
Only time will tell

One noticeable thing about the playoffs is that there are twice as many ranked teams in the upper state half of the brackets. Ten of the top 15 and seven of the top ten are in the upper state.
Mauldin vs Westside and Wren vs Spartanburg are the only matchups of two ranked teams in the first round.

I can see an unranked team taking out a ranked team in the first round of the 4A state playoffs.

Beautiful.  I'm actually pulling hard for the WA girls...I've had a chance to work with some of them; they have a lot of heart and love for the game, and I'd be mighty proud to see them go all the way.

We got 'em in the Viking Cup this year, but the stakes were not nearly as high.
Only a small degree of satisfaction for those of us that have been around long enough to remember the "Ghosts of Bolt & The Sisters".

The first round AAAA playoff match between Irmo and Fort Dorchester will be played tonight at 6:00 PM at Irmo. The start time is incorrectly listed as 7:00 PM on the SCHSL brackets and the Eurosport Scoreboard. The location is incorrectly listed in The State newspaper as being at Fort Dorchester.

I called a hotel next to Memorial Stadium in Columbia today and they told me they were all booked for the 22nd. Whole bunch of people from Mt. Pleasant basically got the place to themselves. Sounds like there's going to be a big party there that night.
