Here's a slight correction..... Lexington beat South Aiken AND the South Aiken Refs in South Aiken 2-1. Without a doubt the worst officiated game I have EVER seen!!!

Congrats to Lexington on the tough win. They played hard and deserved it. South Aiken has won it's share of close ones all season and I'm kind of glad to see that zero in the loss column disappear before the playoffs start. Good game and here's to both teams doing well in the playoffs.

If you're gonna showoff, you might wanna check and see if you actually made any errors before posting it. It's "grammatical". Two "m"'s, genius. Second, you were AT South Aiken, not in. Not too bad, but you're still dumb as hell.

Who will SA most likely face in the first round?

Also, there was an error in the Aiken Standard regarding this being South Aiken's first region title in AAAA soccer. The T-Breds were also region 3-AAAA champs in '96, with a 10-2 region record, 17-5 overall, and #7 ranking in the state. At the time, the region was made up of eight teams: Aiken, Airport, Brookland-Cayce, Lexington, Midland Valley (no team), North Augusta, Orangeburg Wilkinson, and South Aiken.

During that same season, North Augusta defeated SA 2-1 in the 2nd round of the playoffs and advanced to the Upper State Finals, ultimately falling to Mauldin 5-0. To this date, that is the farthest that any boys AAAA soccer team from Aiken County has ever advanced in the playoffs.

Ironically, SA won region the year before Irmo came in (96), and the year after Irmo left (03). Aiken has never won the region as a AAAA school.

Aiken Fire had a game today. So were the SA players that play for Fire at the SA game or not? If not that would explain Lexington's win basically.

Blame the loss because one or two players weren't there. Now why didn't I see that one coming. Thats hilarious that you guys can't lose without making excuses. Why don't you "take it like men" rather than blaming it on the fact that your other forward wasn't there. Oh well, I guess you can't expect anything more from players in Aiken. Oh yea, and stat boy, I could be the dumbest kid at Lexington, but guess what... I'm STILL playing soccer, and I'm not taking notes on the sideline because I can't keep my grades up.

SAHS68in95...well said. I agree with everything you said. South Aiken is good team, and they play hard. They will really be something to contend with for at least the next 2 years I'm thinking. I'm not sure they can go all the way this year though.
kiddinu402...thats easy to say but we'll never know now will we. That game is over. Good luck to SA in the playoffs.

SokerDude21, are you retarted? That guy that talked about fire was asking a QUESTION. Sure he said that would explain the loss, but he didn't use it as an excuse or say anything. He obviously wasn't at the game, so he didn't know. This is the only post he's had about South Aiken. So it seems to me that he's an outside observer that knows what he's talking about. I don't know the details of the game, so I don't know what exactly happened. It doesn't matter, the only thing ya'll did was make SA stronger and drop down the ego. And Lexington will still lose in the first round, just like last year.....oh wait, ya'll didn't make it. Woops

aiken is gonna have to beat a really good spring valley team to make it out of the 1st round while lex will prob open up with ridgeview but not certain yet but thats the likely first round opponents. oh yea jeff how many sports from aiken or south aiken have made the playoffs this year? cuz i know EVERY single team from lexington has made the playoffs w/ 13 region titles.....

actually both teams are 6-3 in region and both have another game lex vs ow and aiken vs wk aiken has the greater chance to lose, but doubt it will happen so both will prob end up 7-3 and then itll go to tiebreakers which will prob be head to head and in that case aiken will have the higher seed u are right. but they might not use that tiebreaker. so u never know

the first tie breaker is head to head, aiken 3-0, aiken 3-2, i dont think aiken or lexington will lose there remaining region games, but who knows....

Hardy, thanks for pointing out my mistake, but I'm sure the S Aiken players are saying the same thing. "If Jamal had been there, it wouldn't have even been a game." Anyways, about your prediction of us losing in the first round... you guys sure talk a lot of sh** for having such an easy schedule. Take one good hard look at S Aiken's schedule, and tell me which top 15 teams they play. Lexington and Aiken are the only two that I can find. But hey, then again, I'm retarded and I'm dumb as hell... so maybe I can't count either. Well, they play TWO ranked teams... THAT'S IT. So honestly, what makes you think that you have any room at all to talk about how terrible of a team Lexington is when Lexington is the one earning their rank. Good luck in the playoffs, but if Lexington loses in the first round, it would be hard to believe that S Aiken wouldn't have the same downfall. Peace.

ur right its not hard especially in the most popular sport in HS which would be football. wait...neither aiken nor s. aiken made the playoffs, or did aiken make in basketball, the 2 biggest sports in almost every HS across the state. yea yall are good at soccer...and what else. just cuz yall are good at somethin doesnt mean yall are awesome. so tell me again if it is hard to get into the playoffs in highschool sports cuz the last time lexington didnt was last years boys soccer team. but i guess its a regular thing where u come from.

Ofag, remind me who we lost to in the first round, please. South Aiken lost by a TD to Berkeley, the top seed in the low-state. Get your facts straight, you dumbass. And BTW, DS beat us, Lexington didn't. We'll beat you next season. That's a promise.

Actually, South Aiken has gone to playoffs in every sport except baseball b/c they are terrible at it. They have the no. 1 catcher in the state in Phillip Disher who is signed with USC and will ball out of control. Lexington got any number one prospects in the state at any positions? Anyways, this board is about soccer and not other sports. And if you're so confident about Lexington winning in the first round, then you should bet me. If Lexington wins then we never hear from you again. If they don't, then you'll never here from me again.

since we are talking about different sports now. Try Demetrius Summers(Record holder for rushing in the state of south carolina) and if you have not already figured it out, he is #1.

That is soemting sa will never have. what a fag.

It's "Demetris", you idiot. There's no "u". He finished with 11,093 all purpose yards and 133 TD's. It's pretty sad that you can't even spell his name right.

And incase you didn't know, Rashad Hunter had more rushing yards this past season than DS did.

I was talking about baseball, since Lexington is super baseball team. What a fag, can't even read the question right. And Rashad did have more yards and South Aiken's kickoff specialist was a lot better than ya'lls last year.

First of all Goose is 10 times better than Will and look who will plays club for Lexington they didnt even come close to winning state! Look at goose he plays for aiken fire runner up in nationals. And llok at the goals that have been scored on goose then will. Since Sa didnt really play any quality teams then i will bring up the Aiken game look at the goals scored on them that will tell you who is the better keeper! Goose by far better than Will!

yea since they both have played together, and both like each other why u trying to start stuff between them, and will might play for aiken next year anyways. and you cant compare goals you have to compare saves vs shots, its not wills fault the defense lets down during games sometimes. and if will only played soccer, and not other sports he'd be twice as good as he is now.

When i saw Rashad Hunter play he didn't impress me at all. I believe the game i saw was his lowest rushing yards in a single game for the season...Summers would stomp all over Hunter no doubt...but for baseball no one compares to NA...

If you put the enrollment of both South Aiken and Aiken high schools together, it would be within 300 of Lexington's enrollment, give or take. With that said, of course Lexington should be better in athletics considering their approximate 2 to 1 enrollment advantage on nearly every other school in region 4-AAAA. You simply have a huge number of kids to draw from and a very solid developmental program for nearly every major varsity sport. With that system, every time you lose to another one of the "inferior" schools in the region, it should be considered a setback. Youg guys have a great developmental base across the board and in nearly every sport. Just remember that every time you play an Aiken school half your size in enrollment. I'm not knocking the Lexington program here, because it largely wins as it should. I'm just wondering how a combined Aiken school or a split Lexington squad would fare.

Wow yall are very stupid to say Rashad was better than "meat", "meat didnt ever even try and didnt even play in one game this year. Rashad blew this year (41-10), last year (74-21), the year b4 (fifty something-3)....notice the pattern, the kicking was a hell of alot better too seeing as how yall missed a PAT and could barely kick the ball to the 20 compared to all being touchbacks and making every PAT..... as for baseball NA is much better than south aiken and aiken, as for lexington every senior on the team this year is scholarshiped to play at a college next year; 4 to major 1-A teams, while 4 juniors are already verbally commited 3 to USC and 1 to clemson....wow we do suck.....what was i thinking... and if you want to talk about anyother sport of which yall suck in, feel free to be stupid

Lexington is still double what South Aiken and Aiken are. Ya'll were even larger before the split with White Knoll. Combining Aiken High and South Aiken, which would still be smaller than Lexington, they would dominate at every sport except baseball. South Aiken has dominance at guys and girls tennis and mens golf. They are always ballers and have the state championships to prove it. Anyways, combine South Aiken and Aiken and you imagine how much dominance there would be. It would be ridiculous. Lexington should dominate at every sport and rule the region for the sheer fact of how big their school is.

They're good, but they're not "that good".....this year. Watch out for them for the next 2 years though. They will be "that good", if not the best, as they get older. They really have a great nucleus of a team, and will be a force for at least the next 2 years.
