Imagine how much better players will be come fall if they play in 5-6 3v3 tourneys on Saturdays this summer. What a great off-season development program. The younger kids will have to rely on their parents getting them to the tourneys, but the HS players can get into 1 car and hit the road:
Columbia, Hilton Head, Charleston, Charlotte, Greenville, Augusta, Asheville and finally in Savannah!

What is the 3v3 Worldwide Carolinas Summer Tour?

It is a circuit of (10) 1-day 3v3 tournaments managed by Lowcountry Soccer and hosted by local clubs in the following cities/dates:

* June 6-Columbia (Congaree Rapid SA)
* June 6-Myrtle Beach (Coast FA)
* June 6-Hilton Head Island (Hilton Head-Blufton SC)
* June 13-Charleston (Lowcountry Soccer)
* June 13-Charlotte (Charlotte Soccer Academy, Steel Creek AA)
* June 20-Asheville (Asheville Buncombe YSA)
* June 27-Charlotte (Indian Trail AA)
* June 27-Augusta (Augusta Arsenal SC)
* July 11-Greenville (Easley Soccer Club)
* July 11- Columbia (Lexington County SC)

Most teams in each of these areas will be able to enter 3-6 events without having to drive further than 1-2 hours on any given Saturday.

Standings will be kept and tabulated after each event in the following Competitive Age Groups:

* Boys U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, HS
* Girls U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, HS

Point system:

* Champions (4 pts)
* 2nd place (2 pts)
* 3rd place (1 pt)

Awards:
Winners of each age group will be awarded the Lloyds Soccer 3v3 Champions Cup which will presented at the 3v3 Worldwide South Summer Nationals in Savannah, GA on July 18-19. The players will also receive t-shirts recognizing their accomplishment. A page will also be dedicated on the 3v3 Worldwide site with photos of all of the teams.

Eligibility:
To qualify for the Lloyds Soccer 3v3 Champions Cup teams must participate in a minimum of 3 events. Teams will be afforded a flexible roster that must contain at least 3 players that play in all of the events entered.

The June 13th Charleston event will be the the first time you'll see our colors on any soccer field. We plan on entering at least 3 teams.

We are registering U10 boys and U12 boys today, playing under name Cainhoy Athletic. We are still working on younger age and girls.

First two teams represent also the first two named coaches for next season in LSYSA, David Tunesi (U10) and Neil Grey (U12).

AKA The English connection.

Dear SCHSSCA Executive Board Members:

This summer a series of (11) 1-day 3v3 "street soccer" events will take place in cities such as-Columbia (2), Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Greenville (2), Charlotte (2), Asheville and Augusta. These events are a part of the 3v3 Worldwide Carolinas Summer Tour presented by Lowcountry Soccer and Lloyd's Soccer. The circuit begins on June 6 and runs through July 11. The events are all qualifiers for the 3v3 Worldwide South Summer Nationals which will be held on the weekend of July 18-19 in Savannah, GA. The Summer Nationals will feature teams from 3v3 Worldwide Tour qualifiers in FL, TN, GA, NC, and SC.

For any player aspiring to improve his/her soccer "game", there is no better teacher than 3v3 "street soccer". This is how players all over the world really learn how to play the game naturally. I highly encourage you to pass this information along to your players . All it takes is 3-6 players (we recommend 4-5) and since many of your players are of age, they can drive themselves.

For the competitive youth players there is the Lloyds Soccer 3v3 Champions Cup which will crown winners in the boys & girls U9-HS age groups. In addition to the cup, players and coaches will also receive t-shirts. To qualify for the 3v3 Champions Cup competition teams must enter a minimum of (3) events. Points are awarded as follows: 4pts (Champs), 2pts (2nd place), 1pt (3rd place). Rosters may vary however, 3 players must play in all of the events. The awards will be presented on the Friday night before the South Summer Nationals in Savannah. Standings will be kept and updated each week.

For complete information on these summer tournaments, go to
www.3v3worldwide.com and under Tour Dates, click on South Region. I can be reached at 843-795-2005 or email me at lcsoccer3v3@comcast.net

Please forward this information to all of the HS programs in your association so that all of your players can benefit from a summer of 3v3 Street Soccer.

Thank you and I look forward to seeing your players at our summer events,

Kenyon Cook (Lowcountry Soccer).

* The Myrtle Beach event is 2 days (June 6-7) during the Sun Fun Festival.
