Imagine how much better players will be come fall if they play in 5-6 3v3 tourneys on Saturdays this summer. What a great off-season development program. The younger kids will have to rely on their parents getting them to the tourneys, but the HS players can get into 1 car and hit the road:
Columbia, Hilton Head, Charleston, Charlotte, Greenville, Augusta, Asheville and finally in Savannah!
What is the 3v3 Worldwide Carolinas Summer Tour?It is a circuit of (10) 1-day 3v3 tournaments managed by Lowcountry Soccer and hosted by local clubs in the following cities/dates:
* June 6-Columbia (Congaree Rapid SA)
* June 6-Myrtle Beach (Coast FA)
* June 6-Hilton Head Island (Hilton Head-Blufton SC)
* June 13-Charleston (Lowcountry Soccer)
* June 13-Charlotte (Charlotte Soccer Academy, Steel Creek AA)
* June 20-Asheville (Asheville Buncombe YSA)
* June 27-Charlotte (Indian Trail AA)
* June 27-Augusta (Augusta Arsenal SC)
* July 11-Greenville (Easley Soccer Club)
* July 11- Columbia (Lexington County SC)
Most teams in each of these areas will be able to enter 3-6 events without having to drive further than 1-2 hours on any given Saturday.
Standings will be kept and tabulated after each event in the following Competitive Age Groups:
* Boys U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, HS
* Girls U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, HS
Point system: * Champions (4 pts)
* 2nd place (2 pts)
* 3rd place (1 pt)
Awards:Winners of each age group will be awarded the Lloyds Soccer 3v3 Champions Cup which will presented at the 3v3 Worldwide South Summer Nationals in Savannah, GA on July 18-19. The players will also receive t-shirts recognizing their accomplishment. A page will also be dedicated on the 3v3 Worldwide site with photos of all of the teams.
Eligibility:To qualify for the Lloyds Soccer 3v3 Champions Cup teams must participate in a minimum of 3 events. Teams will be afforded a flexible roster that must contain at least 3 players that play in all of the events entered.
