Really a shame that Wando lost. Other than first few minutes of 1st half, Wando outplayed Irmo. Wando had 5 or 6 great shots that just went over by a bit. Wando had Irmo down and on their heels. The goal that was scored off of the corner in OT to tie should have been a goal kick for Wando instead of a corner.
It is a crying shame that the refs were so horrible.
Wando kids were good sports went they went ahead and didn't showboat like Irmo did when they caught Wando asleep and scored off of the set plays.
And what is up with the blond hair?

Asleep? In the second overtime of the Lowerstate Championship and up by a goal? If your napping at such time like that then you deserve to lose no question

What an exciting game!!! And mikestands, I guess you were at the baseball game tonight, because in no way, shape, or form did Wando outplay Irmo in that game. Wando was on THEIR heels playing boom-ball offense the entire night and only had 3 shots on goal. And there was showboating from both sides, so don't try to play that card either. And I agree that the refs missed a few calls, but they were on both sides of the field. Congrats on the win Irmo, best high school game I've seen in a couple years!

There was an unbelievable atmosphere tonight at Wando. Congratulations to both teams for turning out an incredible number of fans for this one (video to be posted showing the atmosphere) where IRMO apparently ended a 200 home game winning streak for Wando.
