Corner comes to CC's Nagasaka who smacks it over the bar. At the 34th minute mark the game is still on the fringe. If you can get out to Memorial today I suggest you do. If this match is any indication of how well the competition will go today then we are in for quite a treat! Of course, if you see so fit you and I can enjoy each other's company for the next 12 hours or so...

Magnet with an excellence chance as Alex Herlocker breaks through into the box and crosses it but Magnet's header falls right into the hands of the CC keeper. Excellent play by Herlocker but again a poor finish

With 3 minutes remaining in the half the Raptor himself, Troy Bennage will certainly have a few crucial talking points. 2-0 is the most dangerous lead in soccer says one ex-Memorial grounds coach and a goal by Magnet would certainly get their hopes back.

A couple of foul throws for both sides and some midfield play are seeing us out through the half. With 1 minute left there has been some real drama in the Capital City.

How uncharacteristic...a foul sees another set piece situtaion and long throw-in...The throw is guided by the collective head of Magnet over the bar however and that will send us to the Half

At the break your boy is going to use the facilities and find a couple future ex Mrs. ESPN SoccerNet Broadcast while we listen to some moldy-oldies at Memorial. It must be too much to ask for some OJ Da Juice Mane or Disturbed but, in regards everyone's musical interests, dull will do...for now!

Back on the pitch...the players have made their way from the dressing rooms and back on to the pitch. I forgot to make note of the formational alignments for both teams. Rest assured I'll fix this in the future

Academic Magnet with the kickoff and we are underway...

CC and Magnet both playing with a stopper sweeper combination to start the second half. AM strolls out in a 4-3-3 formation while CC is playing a 4-4-2.

First couple of volleys are in and see CC with a long throw oppurtunity...

Impressive to note while AM just clears the corner is CC's clear and crisp play. While AM seems to be content with simple possesion ahead - physical play CC is making a concentrated effort with penetrating passes through the midfield. This has certainly worked to their advantage.

A AM deflection sees CC earn a corner but it is cleared away by AM towards their lone point forward...playing the Drogba roll today is Travis Farnharm and he steers the ball out of bounds for a throw-in

Whistles abound as Josh Round issues Farnharmer a Yellow card and then a Robert Furman is issued the same.

Bam Bam as the referee is trying to cool down the rash challenges for this heated second half.
