Emerald fans have calmed here as their hidden expectations have come to fruition.

What can they do really? BE has more resources and paid players than Roman Abromovich...

Pardon my illusions towards the premiership fans. The game has entered a bit of a lull and I was wishing I was back in London with a pint or 14 at Stamford Bridge...

However things just heated back up as Rom Reyhani was just issued a straight red card for a bad elbow to the jaw of an Emerald midfielder.

Looked bad from up here but the Emerald player did well to sell it. BE will have to play a man down for 23 minutes.

We'll see how good BE are now as they play 10 v 11 for the next 20 minutes plus...

BE takes a free kick and puts a man in for a 4th but he blows the chance as the keeper comes out and collects. Good play by him despite the 3-0 mark.

BE will move to a 4-4-1 formation as 3-0 will be hard to overcome even with a man advantage...

Emerald can afford to press a 3rd attacker here if they like. There's no reason for 4 defenders to take on 1 forward when you're already down 3 goals...

Under 20 minutes to play here and Emerald gives up a free kick 50 yards from frame as they get frustrated because they cannot get anything from this game.

Looking ahead to the next final we have a tasty AAA match up in S. Aiken and Eastside. Surely to be the best and most contested match of the day S. Aiken has sat atop of the AAA rankings for a long time and Eastside were the class of the Palmetto Cup. Eastside may be at a disadvantage as Miguel Teos was controversially red carded in the Upper State final. S. Aiken is fresh and ready to play as Paul Waters goes for his 2nd State Championship since 2005.

Play stops as a BE player has cramped up on the sideline. Even with 9 men BE still pressed the attack and maintained play.

Khoury makes a farce of the game as a side reduced to 10 men in Bishop Englad finds Khoury who beats an Emerald defender and finishes over a sliding Emerald keeper...

Calm finishing and Khoury is the class of this final. His fist will look like lethal weapons as he puts a 4th ring on. Brass knuckles at Daniel Island!

Nothing much more to say really...BE has been featured in ESPN magazine and Sports Illustrated for a reason. They are not only the class of AA but the class of this state being able to beat anyone regardless of classification year in and year out.

While you can make an argument against a private school being in the SCHSL you cannot make an argument against their quality.
