The 2010 Palmetto Cup Final is underway at The Cage ... Kickoff time was 6:45 p.m., and it's a gorgeous night in Cayce with the temperature at 78 degrees and virtually no wind ... Wando, 3-1-0 in this year's tournament, won Group B, while Bishop England is 3-0-1 and winners of Group A ... The Warriors are dressed in an all black strip with white numerals and script and the Battling Bishops in all white with green letters and numbers.

That was a quick halftime as neither squad elected to use its 10 minute allotment and the officials are ready to get the second half underway ... Coach Hunter says "let's get crackin'", while emcee Dave Easley voices his displeasure on not being able to hear at least one more song by Stevie Ray Vaughn.

What a great game between BE and Wando. I'm sure Wando won't let us forget it when we meet again on Wednesday at their place!

BTW the music was GREAT at the tournament. Super selections!

My thanks to Kevin and Kyle and everyone that put on the Palmetto Cup. For my team Walhalla it gave us a chance to try some things and work on some others at a very fast pace. We got to see how to play at a high level and the mistakes (which were many) are all coachable. For our small public school we got alot out of it. Thanks Again.

While the "championship" was being played, I believe the boys from K-VILLE were doing this:

When the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.
