Another great tournament run by Brookland-Cayce. I don't think there is a better way to gauge where your team stands in the weeks before play-offs. Look forward to it again next year.

ESPN RISE - Farragut Reinforces Lofty Ranking

The web cameras that were setup in the press box at The Cage had 906 views during the 28 hours and 42 minutes of broadcast time for the 2010 Palmetto Cup. The total number of Viewer Hours was 7 days, 19 hours, 22 minutes.

We did not have it setup on Wednesday, but had "live coverage" Thursday through Saturday.

In that article it says Farragut "dominated" Northwestern.. I don't know if I'd say that, but you know how sports writers can be. Especially when they aren't there?

3A #1 Farragut (19-0) routed Knox West (2009 Palmetto Cup Finalist) 6-1 in the District Semifinals on Wednesday and the Admirals will face arch-rival 3A #2 Bearden (17-1-2) tonight in Knoxville.

Five players from Norman North's state championship team earn honors

Five players from the Norman North boys soccer team, which won the Class 6A state championship Saturday, were selected to the District 6A-2 West all-district team.

Will Smith, Gus Jenson, Trevor Laffoon, JT Harrison and Taylor McCauley gave the T-Wolves the most players of any school selected to the team. All five players are juniors.

Smith led the state in scoring with 24 goals and scored the game-winner in Norman North’s final three games, including the state final.

Mustang had four players on the squad in Denny Landrum, Drew McElhaney, John Anderson and Jacob Strassle. Edmond Memorial’s Stuart Turnipseed, Jacob Stivers and Ty Stukey also made the team.

The rest of the squad is made up of Joshua Garcia and Martin Ochoa of US Grant, Eduardo Caballeros of Putnam City West, Taylor Vanderford of Westmoore, Chris Issac of Lawton Eisenhower and Shawnee’s Colby Anderson.
