Heartbreaking.

Kids play sports because they find it fun. Eliminate the fun and soon you eliminate the kid.

Uuuuuuuugh, we totally gave that second half away!

But Howard is a beast.

Howard is awesome and it looked like it should've been 4-2. That one shot looked like it was in.

how the f... u get scored on in the air? i though we had some big towers in the back.

yeah im one of those people that would go home take the 2nd place trophy and throw it into the trash.

as long as bb stays on the team, we have another 10 years to go... sad.

As a Brit (who has seen Gazza, Beckham, and Rooney all receive cards due to baiting and then play-acting by opponents), I can tell you that the USA needs to learn from this experience. I hate it but the USA has to learn to play the refs too. They had three red cards in this tournament - all straight reds. Today when it was 1-0 Charlie Davies was 1 v 1 with a Brazilian defender coming at him from the side. He clipped him and if Davies had gone down - it was a red for their center half. Instead he stayed on his feet but was forced wide and eventually got a corner. There is no way Kaka or Robinho misses that opportnity to get the opposition down to 10 men.

Spain and Italy kick you down and then lean over and offer you their hand to get you off the ground and keep the refs cards in his pocket. It's sad, but the US better wake up to this gamemanship. England is no better, but hopefully with Capello as the head coach, he's giving drama lessons during training.

if we're honest, the real score was 4-2 & it wasn't even that close.
we got lucky in the first half & got embarrassed in the 2nd.
we're a long way off & hopefully this close score doesn't give us a false sense of security. we've got to make some major changes. hats off to tim who kept it close, the rest, along with the coaching staff should be replaced asap.
i really like how late in the game that schmuck went for the oscar in the brazil box instead of the goal. theres something really wrong & embarrassing with the over the top flopping in mens soccer, but i digress
today was another reminder of why i'm a girls soccer fan.
fundamentals, marking????? anyone?
run for the hills tim howard, don't look back.
