Very entertaining game Sat night between CESA and Reading. Very disappointed in the sportsmanship shown by Alpharetta on Sunday and the coach not taking any actions. Overall good stuff.

#6, Alpharetts forward should have been red carded twice and only received a yellow. In one case, grabbed a Reading player and thru him to ground. Coach left him in whole game. After game, Alpharetta goalie pushed a Reading player as teams were shaking hands and that started a mini-rumble.

Granted both teams were doing a little jawing but didn't see Reading take any cheap shots. One thing playing hard and physical, another playing dirty and unsporting. Reffing could have been better from the start which might have prevented the build-up.

Bad news, ruined an otherwise great game and hopefully doesn't damper Reading chance of returning to US.

For one, I enjoyed watching the English team play and happy to see both CESA and Alpharetta give them all they could handle. Shows quality of play that is being developed here.

I didn't see the Alpharetta match but both clubs were very physical during the matches vs CESA. The ref. on Friday did speak French so he was able to communicate, but he still ended up pulling quite a few yellow cards. CESA executed flawlessly with the exception of the space given to a Nantes midfielder who hit a strike from 35 which was placed right under the crossbar for their only goal.

During the Reading match CESA gave up two goals during the first half of play as the team worked to find a way to break a well executed Reading attack down. In the second half, CESA was without question the better side as the boys took away much of the spread the field and attack options from Reading.

CESA controlled the tempo during the second half creating multiple very close chances. The lone CESA goal came on a set piece driven across the face of the goal from just inside the left corner of the field and was headed it into the back corner of the net by Garbonzo.

Reading FC were very busy as they also played and defeated the CASL U18 Academy team while visiting the US. Its great to see our guys compete at this level. Looking forward to more opportunities for them to do so in the future.

Congratulations on an outstanding weekend!
