In two weeks, right???? Thought we couldn't play all the games this weekend because CESA needs to be at a more important tournament.

based on the schedule for the U17 Boys, CESA will be playing their semi-final game on Tuesday against CSSC, it does not say where http://scysa.demosphere.com/schedules/Fall2009/19104124.htmlLexington will play FSCG in their semifinal on Saturday The finals are still showing to be played on Sunday although it is the only age group that has sunday's schedule empty. For the record I think it a shame that SCYSA did not handle this differently, I have done a bit of legwork and all of this should have been resolved in June when the schedule for the national league was known, which funny enough... USYSA REQUIRES the national league participants to compete in their state cup.

Well that would be fair. CESA/CSSC plays Wed. then gets 3 days rest before playing the final. Seems fair to me!!!! Guess you don't have to play by the rules. Really, if a club CHOOSES not to be available for the state finals, they should forfeit. If a trip to regionals, Premier league and a national championship are not "prestigious" enough or "competitive" enough for you, should you really be representing SC. If I were any of the other teams, I would take this whole thing as an insult.

National league is for girls. Not sure why these two teams can't play on Saturday? Anyone know?

NL is for the both girls and boys....Cesa boys are playing in that League. ECNL is for the girls only. CESA girls are playing in that league.

Absolutely! That's a rhetorical question if ever I've seen one. Of course you should. I wish we had more teams trying to be more competitive.

Quotations are for sarcasm. There are a number of tournaments where you can get more great competition. Putting the entire state on hold, gaining 3 days rest over your opponent, and basically putting your nose up to the rest of the state is bad form. Create an academy program. Play the rest of the "elite" academy programs and leave the "insignificant" state cup to the rest of the "weak" teams in SC.

Not really sure what that means, but as with the previous post, the above quote was so the comment has reference, not to be sarcastic.
I will, without quoting them, say I disagree completely with your other comments. I think we should be promoting more competition and high-level exposure for SC teams, not less.
But everyone looks at things from a different perspective and has a right to their opinion.
