Carolina Elite Soccer Academy (CESA) is proud to announce the 3rd Annual CESA / adidas Player Combine. The event will take place on January 18, 2010 in Greenville, SC at the MeSA Soccer Complex, site of the 2012 USYS Southern Regional Championships. This will be an opportunity for male and female players to compete while being evaluated by college coaches and is open to all Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior players regardless of club affiliation.

The CESA / adidas Player Combine has been very successful. In the first two events, CESA hosted nearly 600 players and 150 college coaches. Players and coaches traveled to Greenville, SC from eight states throughout the southeast region and beyond. Players competed in 11v11 matches, participated in speed and agility testing, and became more informed about the recruiting process in the college recruiting seminar. In addition, all players received complimentary apparel, provided by adidas, as well as lunch, provided by Chick-fil-A.

In 2010, players will again be provided with a quality experience. CESA has partnered with CaptainU in an effort to streamline the registration process and further accommodate the players. CaptainU, the leading college soccer recruiting company, will provide digital player profile books and free access to their online software to help all attending players maximize their exposure at the combine to college coaches. In addition, Lloyds Soccer, the official adidas supplier for CESA, will be on site to provide an opportunity to view and purchase the latest in soccer gear and equipment. Once on site, players will find an enhanced MeSA Complex. Eight new fields have been constructed, which increases the total to 16 full-sized fields, and the main building is now home to a Players Lounge, as well as an impressive Strength Training facility.

For the event, players will be placed on teams, which will be organized based upon year of graduation and field position. These teams will play in an 11v11 format against teams of like composition. All teams will be supervised and guided by a CESA staff coach. Players will also be afforded an opportunity to test in speed and agility exercises, conducted by Boot Room Soccer School, a comprehensive soccer training company located in Charlotte, North Carolina. All test results will be recorded and made available to college coaches upon request. Players will also have the opportunity to engage with college coaches during the recruiting process seminar. At the conclusion of the event, all players will receive an apparel item from adidas.

Interested players must complete the registration form, which will be available Monday, December 7, 2009 on our home page at www.carolinaelitesc.com. The deadline for registering for the CESA / adidas Player Combine is January 11, 2010. All registered players will receive email notification of their acceptance to this event, along with additional event information.
