*** Parking is free at all locations but there is an entry fee of:
$5 for Friday only ticket
$8 for Saturday only ticket
$10 for a weekend pass (best deal get's them in all games anywhere both days)
Children, 8 and under, get in free
S.C. High School League are the only passes honored this weekend

*** Home teams will provide game balls...you are home if listed first on the schedule.

*** Reporting scores will be best handled the following way. Please call or text after each game Friday and Saturday - Dennis Cook at (803) 446-4504. When reporting your score please make sure to include the game time, field, and division you are playing in.

*** Please make sure and read how your division will be decided. Coaches understand that everyone will play two games on Friday and two games on Saturday. In the GJV Black please see that teams will be seeded based on points earned on Friday games. The number in ( ) are seed numbers / not teams numbers.

*** We hope to have trainers at each site. They will be stationed at the metal shed on the practice fields and at the concession stand at BB&T.

*** Teams need to bring their own water to games. We hope you understand that we have too many fields to keep up with.

*** Please, make sure you report all game scores after your matches. A scoreboard will be updated regularly at the practice field location only and on the Columbia United FC web site. www.columbiaunitedfc.com or http://www.columbiaunitedfc.com/hstournaments/irmojvtourn/index_E.html

*** There will be concessions at all locations.

Congratulations to Coach Todd Wilkinson and the Brookland-Cayce JV boys team on winning the championship of the Irmo End of Season JV Tournament Black Division!

This is the fourth title for Coach Wilkinson in this tournament since 2006. The 2009 team won the Black Division, the 2008 squad was victorious in the Black MLS #1 Division, and the 2006 team captured the Gold Division title.

Coach Wilkinson owns a career mark of 91-33-9 (.718) at the helm of the B-C JV boys program since 2004 after a one year stint with the Brookland-Cayce B-Team in 2003 in which the Bearcats posted a 4-4-1 record. Prior to his days at BCHS, Coach Wilkinson was the varsity boys soccer coach at Dreher High School from 1991-2001 where he compiled a 172-63 (.732) record in 11 seasons and led the Blue Devils to the Class 3A/2A/1A State Finals in 1992 and the Class 3A State Finals in 1999. Coach Wilkinson, a veteran of Midlands youth soccer, was an assistant boys soccer coach at Cardinal Newman in the 1980s prior to taking over the Dreher varsity program. He coaches in the Congaree Rapid Soccer Association.

Congratulations to the Swansea Lady Tiger JV team for winning the Black Division Championship! The lady tigers cap off a perfect 14-0 season. For the season, the tigers scored 43 goals while only giving up 3. Awesome job Coach Meg! Thanks for coaching my little lady!

According to the SCUFC website for the yellow girls division:

Irmo 0:0 Fort Mill
Blythewood 1:0 Spring Valley

and in the championship

Wando 1:0 TL Hanna

Congratulations to Wando on the championship and especially congrats to our young jackets that hung in there today while short handed. Word is a lot of the teams were a little short handed and I think all of the girls got all the soccer they wanted.

I have to take this opportunity to brag on our Coach Katelyn Whitaker that has done a masterful job with a team composed almost entirely of middle school girls. Her only loses this year were to Dorman and now Wando. The JV Jackets have one more game against Riverside Wednesday to complete a very successful season.

Good JV coaches are very hard to come by and we have a gem.

Thanks Coach!

Great job by everyone at Irmo for putting on another 1st class tournament. I felt that everyone was properly placed which lead to some very exciting matches. For those of you outside of the Columbia area, try to make it next year. It was fun getting to see teams like Christ Church and Ashley Ridge.
