Sorry for posting my opinion in a public forum. Edited so as to not piss anyone else off.

By the way, not really picking on kids so much as the system in place that sets up kids to get beat 13-0 after qualifying for the playoffs. My question was more about the qualification process. I'll ask it somewhere other than the public forum that is frequented by supporters of the system I wished to question.

You're the joke, Harry! Why don't you tell these kids that work their butts off all season and face loss after loss and never give up that they and their sport are just a joke? People like you p**s me off. Why did you even waste the time to come on this board and make an stupid comment like that?

Every single team out there puts forth a lot of effort to make it to playoffs. Each team gives it there all every day at practice, in games, preseason, and during season and deserve a shot at a post season game. A play off game to most of these girls is a milestone at their school and they are the ones that gets to say that they got it. One of the 13-0 losses you were talking about had never been to a play off game before and got the honor to say that they took their team there. If anything it means a lot to the seniors who will never play another high school game again and they each have the right to play as many games as they can. I understand you are just stating your opinion, but next time I believe your just better off keeping your mouth shut(or in this case, hands off the keyboard). Let the girls play their games and don't take anything away from them.

I agree with soccerfan34. Do not belittle any teams accomplishments! If anyone had a complaint about all this, it would be the Swansea ladies. We had to play in the region of death this year. Although playing many close games in our region, we did not win enough to get in the play-offs. After all we beat a couple ranked teams and the #1 seed Camden 7-0 the last week of our season. Unfortunately, it is the system we play in and we were not the best team in our region. Were we better than a lot of other teams? I would say yes. However, to be certain, the best two teams will play in the finals! Good Luck Region 5!

Now wait a minute. You beat the #1 team in your region and beat other ranked teams in your region and you DIDN'T make the playoffs? Yet there was another team in the playoffs that did not win a game all year?

I agree with you Meredith some 4th place teams in a region are better than 1st place teams in other regions. I don't think Harry was questioning the hard work our daughters put into it, i think he was questioning the SCHSL process, which does need to be fixed. the detroit lions, pittsburg pirates and new jersey nets players worked their tales off last year to get to the playoffs, but none of those teams were deserving of being in the playoffs of their respected sports because of their regular season record.

When people start throwing around rankings of regions, etc., it gets all confusing. You can't possibly say that each number one seed from each region is equal or even close.

Never said that. I stated that Swansea did not beat the Number 1 seed in their region. GOT it?
