4. Who was the Manchester United manager before Sir Alex Ferguson?

5. What club did Alex Ferguson manage before he got the United job?

6. Name the current, and most previous three wearers of the prestigious Manchester Utd #7 jersey.

7. What number did "Zizou" wear at Juventus?

8. Who did Roberto Carlos score his amazing 40 yard bending free-kick against in "Le Tournoi"?

9. Why has soccer been called a "communist sport" in some areas of the USA?

10. Who is President George Bush's favourite football (soccer) team?

11. Name Alan Shearer's previous two clubs.

12. Who is the fattest professional footballer currently playing?

13. Who is the ugliest professional footballer currently playing?

14. What is the name of the German goalkeeper famed for committing the "worst tackle ever"?

15. Which Premier League manager famously gave the "I'd love it if we beat them" speech prior to a clash with Manchester Utd?

16. Who'd win in a fight between Manchester United hardman Roy Keane and padded up big-mouth Jeremy Shockey?

17. Who's a bigger girls blouse - David Beckham or Landon Donovan?

18. Who scored the 3,000th Champions League goal?

19. What is the best soccer state in the USA?

And Finally...

20. Who would win a fist-fight between Mia (will work for food) Hamm and Tyler (should biologically be in the WUSA) Twellman?

I will confirm correct answers - don't use your search engines, its only for a laugh in the oh so cold pre-season!!

Have fun

France, Fabien Barthez the offending keeper.

David Trezeguet (Juventus)

19. What is the best soccer state in the USA?
South Carolina of course!

20. Mia Hamm, unemployment will have given her that killer instinct needed for survival.

Shearer unsurprisingly trots more or less unchallenged to victory, I would have hoped for better from 2,000+ "soccer fans" - you can't really appreciate a game til you've seen it played in its purest form - not knowing anything about European soccer is like loving basketball but never having heard of or seen Michael Jordan, Kobe or Shaquille "are you eating that?" Please forgive me for responding to this so late i have been off and about for a while so i havent had the time to check the messages in a long while. My comment is however interesting the quiz was you all have got one of the answers wrong! Before i tell you what let me stress that i love soccer with a passion just as much as anyone else and a million times more than football, however i am willing to bet anything you could put up against me that regardless how hard Roy Keane may be there is not a chance in H*ll that he could stand a chance at beating Shockey in a fight......just my opinion

once again HALA MADRID!!!

Real Madrid - Roy Keane v Shockey wouldn't be much of a contest, there's a HUGE difference between acting and talking tough whilst hiding under god-knows how much padding and prtective gear whilst in the company of some of the biggest guys in the country...and actually BEING a proven hardman as Roy Keane is...famous quote from Roy Keane to referee David Elleray in the tunnel before a game - "Why don't you just give me a ******* red-card now and get it over with."

Don't forget he also ended the career of Alfe-Inge Haaland two years after Haaland told Keane to stop acting after Keane tore his cruciates...plenty more incidents but I can't be bothered making this one of those annoying long posts!!!

Foley- Since you dont want this to become one of those long annoying posts (which you seem to always initiate) i will only ask one question in reply, and anyone reading this can answer if they want. Who do you think would win in a fight?

Big tough guy that spits fire and eats nails Roy Keane
or The 50 year old ref that he cursed out in the tunnel before the match

That question is almost as tough as Keane

Hala Madrid!!!

Foley ....
First off, your well thought out example of "toughness" compared to running of the mouth is a contradiction. You give us a very LOVELY example of Roy Keane running his mouth to look tough. A little disappointed with that because you are the man who probably checks his messages 5 times over before posting. I don't know much about Jeremy Shockey and don't care to kow for i'm a football fan ... true football that is! But I do know that standing over 6'4" and over 250 as well as seeing him completely run over many BIG men, such as Lavar Arrington ... as well as seeing him completely throat slam some scrub in a game I would put my money on Shockey, but hey You are an obvious Man U lover so i can see your bias opinion!

But here's a question ... Man U vs. AC Milan who wins?

And before I forget ... all the others who replied Keane ... stop being followers or fear of Foley's smart a@# comments to make you all lokk stupid .. and speak the truth ... living here and being forced to know what American Football is you all know the tru answer .. so get off MAN U's nuts

No no no no no no NO!!!

First thing, I think its great that nobody is arguing over the Mia Hamm v Landon Donovan result!!

What real fighting experience does Shockey really have?!? Keane grew up boxing, I think his brief record was 3-0, he is from one of the roughest parts of Cork, he would take Shockey apart...all 6'4 of him. I'd say David Beckham v Jeremy Shockey would be a fairer fight.

Wow .. what an amazing record of 3-0 thats speaks for itslef right there ... but then to be from CORK .. man oh man that really pts the icing onthe cake ... Cork, that's in the range of like Brooklyn and Compton right .. on the level of toughness .. come on Foley on this subject I must say YOU ARE A JOKE! How about this ... You vs. Shockey! Who wins that ...

hahahah man this stuttgart guy has some real "spunk"....foley please forgive me on my ignorance on such a topic as to how "gangsta" cork ireland is. Honestly if you could tell me how coming from "hard core" cork would make a guy able to win in any fight please i would love to hear it. Now i know this is getting so far off the topic of soccer, but honestly foley really intrigues me... i can honestly say i always look forward to seeing what he has to say next. Anyways please let me and everyother american that reads this site know what the "rough" parts of cork are really like. Because honestly im not buying it. Anyways hopefully we can talk about soccer, for i will give you do know what you are talking for the most part when it comes to facts about the game, your opinion is just what makes you so interesting to me.

Hala Madrid!!!

on another note Real lost zidane to a muscle tear and we will have to face valencia starting tonight at the bernabeu in the quarterfinal leg of the kings cup, gonna be tough!!!

Personally I reckon Shockey is a bit of a wannabe tough guy - with Muhammed Ali aside there aren't too many guys who can talk and walk if you know what I mean. Shockey "talks a good game" but thats about it, true hardmen do not spout off down some reporters mike... Keane doesn't and is recognised as a true midfield enforcer, but Shockey...I'm not even bothered - no contest as far as I'm concerned.

Af

PS - no, Cork is no compton or bronx, and funnily enough I'm happy that such places do not exist in Ireland, but when there is trouble we tend to settle it with fists, any coward can pull a tr*gger.

I agree with Foley. I've never heard of any violence in Ireland that involved guns or machine guns.
It also seems perfectly logical to me that a 250 pound man that can run a 4.7 and bench over 400 pounds would stuggle with the wee man from Cork. The rest of you guys are all crazy. Preach on Foley.

I have never been to a site with so many people that have no thoughts of their own!! besides foley, who i will give it to even though he doesnt make sense 95% of the time the lil guy really gives it a good effort at arguing.....but then you get all these other kids who have no clue what they are talkin about so they pick a band waggon and hop on. Foley, the sad thing is it is very easy to stereotype a big city that you have never been to....yes there are a lot of shootings but do you or any other one of your puppets mean to tell me that violence with your fists makes you more of a man than violence with a gun.....either way its still violence....PUPPETS!!! Maybe we could all be lucky enough to move to IRELAND so we can be safe while proving our manhood with our fists....hahahahahaha.......this is great i must say. Again i would never put foley down for making some original thoughts, however all these other guys that get on teh board just to say comments like ...."foley sure knows his stuff" , remove your strings and ask whoever your owner is, if you can start formulating thoughts on your own.

HALA MADRID!!!

ps Madrid handled valencia 3-0 in a convincing win on wednesday to go into the second leg of the copa del ray quarterfinals.

A Foley .. you the man, no no you the pimp! I love seeing your name on the screen cause I know it will bring me MANY MANY laughs!
Anyways .. Cork come on .. honestly stop! I went there once awhile back .. man oh man was a scared! Real tough area that Cork is .. especially around the old gunpowder mills and St. Finbarr's Cathedral .. come on Foley, you are form Ireland right, so I see your favoritism .. I mean come on in my eyes nothing compares to the US, but unfortuantely some "Americans" jump to your defense ... but hey you cant bash america .. you're here right ... but look hey if you say so then Keane is the toughest in the world, but get real must I think of names to say hey he isnt crap in the big picture .. no need cause you are stuck to your opinion so speak it buddy...
Foley, you need to tell these little boys to stop ticking their noses up your a@#, 1) Im sure it isnt comfortable for you 2) It doesnt help your arguement to have soem retarded kids trying to back you up! With their Foley knows everythign comments! I got one for you .. Keane or Nesta?

For the knowledgeless peopel on here Nesta is left central back for AC Milan .. #1 defense in the world, not to mention #1 club ... Im sure Foley knows Nesta talents since he is a true football supporter ... but the rest of you .. he is known fr his double leg tackle which gets him numerous cards .. so to me he's tough ... now I ask Foley if he is or not

Real and Stuttgart, you guys can't be serious. You must be literalists in the truest sense of the word. If you failed to catch the sarcasm on my post then I would suggest the two of you stay away from anything sharp or shiny- they could be very dangerous to the both of you. There is not a word that Foley has uttered in any of his meanderings that I agree with. Ireland, though a country that I respect for literature, a good stout, soccer, and poetry(the order is intentional, has had one of the bloodiest histories of violence in the world. If anyone on this thread is a sycophant it is the two of you.

While I do not mind a senseless chat over all this trivea, why the heck is it on the Boys high School Board? Shouldn't it be on the College/Pro board or something?

OK, first things first....at the moment Keane would shade it both on the park and in the street...this time next year, I'm afraid Nesta steals it, but only on the park. All credit to Keane though, he's seen off some world class midfielders in his time (Effenberg, Davids, Zizou), but alas, all good things must come to an end and Keane will finish either this year or next.

Real Madrid, relaxez vous sil vous plait...I have been to New York, only on two occassions. And have seen every side of it...from the sprawling projects on the skirts of the city, to the ghettos & slums mere blocks from fancy stores...NYC - not my thing...thats all I've got to say about that.

About the USA - no, I'm not there at the moment, taking a sabbatical (break). And don't tell people they are un"American" if they criticise it...depends on your definition of American...I love Ireland, but hey, there are some pretty BIG faults here and don't call me un"Irish" if I want to complain about them.

Mise le meas

PS - loved Becks' red card the other night...poor old Becks!!!

PPS - and hey...we're only havin' a laugh no harm being done!! Still can't understand how everyone is OK with Mia pasting Landon!!

Dear Mick Foley,
You are quite mistaken if you think Keane would win a fight against Shockey. There is a enormous difference between a slide tackle and a right cross. Shockey went to Miami to play football, so the rules are you have to a thug to play there. He's been in plenty of bar fights and won them all. I ask you this Mick, who would win between Keane and Kellen Winslow II?? Of course it would be Winslow because he is a ******, and there are no arguments there. Now I leave you with a quiz of my own Cactus, why is it everything I go to take a poop, I never take anything, I leave it???

a. foley - I have not known you to take the easy, conventional, way out. Certainly you know enough about soccer not to join the ranks of half-witted commentators and bash Jeff Agoos. It surprises me that you think you are a better judge of talent than Bruce Arena and Jeff's MLS coach. And you from the confines of the sofa no doubt. I'm guessing that you are jumping on the Anti-Jeff band wagon that developed during the world cup. His own goal! Give me a break, the guy tries to cover for his teammate's mistake and unfortunately can't get there in time. I wonder why Jeff gets credit for an own goal in one game, while Donavan gets credit for a goal that clearly deflects off a defender in another. Quit taking the easy way out and watch the came, sans sound.
