Pumped to see Evan Whetsell on that list. Definitely an underrated gk. Made a not so good WA team a competitive one.

Heard he's going to Clemson to play. Any truth to that rumor?

I might add that all of the young men selected for All-State are excellent players and it is certainly too bad for the good ones that weren't picked. I agree with all the aforementioned names and would have to add John Robert Taylor (Dutch Fork) to the list. Thus, solidifying the fact that no matter how good a player is, He or She must have a better than average team around them to be recognized.

John Robert is without a doubt worthy of recognition. I don't know what his plans are for the future, but should he decide to play at the collegiate level he will always make an impact on the game and those around him.

Thanks for the comments. Ya know, I just now realized that Joey DeMare's name is not on that list either (duh). Face it folks, this year's competition is exceptionally great.

There are so many talented players graduating this year. Additionally, Luis Mariaca, Evan DeYoung, Colden King, David Kesling, Chris Ricketson are some of my favorite players who have just made fantastic impacts on games over the years. Ah, I just realized these guys are all 3A. My bad, but that doesn't take away from my statement.

Joey plays for Chapin in 3A.
You may disagree, but you're wrong!

Recommendation
How about changing the system so that only players who are selected for All-Region Team, qualify for All-State consideration?
Gee I think you missed the thread that discussed how that system is not much better!

I can come up with a few players that are as good or better than some that are listed. Some will play in college, some will not.
Dennis Moore is a very good player, however, he missed quite a few games this year with injury.
We all could second-guess the coachs' picks....maybe allow an assistant coach or A.D. to go and represent the school and players? This may already be possible?
