Thanks for the numbers Heise! I am just curious as to how Christ Church has been able to dominate 1A for the past ten years. What makes the way the train/play different from the way other teams are coached. And if so, why have other teams not affected CC's style?
By failing to prepare, you prepare to fail.

Pretty good representation by Midlands (Lexington/Richland Counties) area schools:
AAAA (15) 8, Irmo 4, SV 2, RV 1, DF
AAA (10) 5, B-C 2, Chapin 2, Dreher 1, Airport
AA (5) 3, Chapin 2, B-L
A (0) none
50th for a reason!

I think Southside Christian has more CESA players. Coach Wilcox just knows how to win or dig deep for the big games with a cast of good athletes. A fair amount of his players don't play year round soccer but play other school sports - football, basketball etc. Something to be said for versatility in high school athletes. Unfortunately youth sports, especially at the larger schools are becoming too specialized. i.e. to succeed or be on the team you have to play soccer, basketball, or baseball year round. Smaller schools athletes have the opportunity to play multiple sports.
