2nd Annual Jesse Eudy Memorial Charity Golf ClassicJesse Eudy was a former president of the Congaree Rapid Soccer Association and instrumental in the growth of youth soccer in the Midlands. Jesse's four children (Will, Lauren, Mary Beth, and Allison) were all involved in youth soccer and played prep soccer at Brookland-Cayce HS. Three of his children went on to play collegiately (Will, Newberry College; Lauren, Erskine College; Allison, Anderson University) and two got involved in coaching the beautiful game (Will, Brookland-Cayce HS assistant & current Cardinal Newman HS head coach; Lauren, former Brookland-Cayce HS head coach).
CRSA has set up a scholarship fund to honor the memory of Mr. Eudy. All proceeds will be distributed to these organizations selected by the Eudy family:
Jesse Eudy Memorial Scholarship Fund - For CRSA to make sure that financial restrictions do not hinder any child from experiencing the game of soccer and all the life lessons learned from this game.
Camp Kemo - To provide a normal camping experience for children with cancer and their siblings. Provide child with an opportunity to spend time with other children like him/her. Allow child with cancer a chance to experience independence and develop self-confidence. Repair and strengthen relationship between child and sibling.
The Christopher Conner Foundation - A grassroots fundraising organization that works to support musicians and their families within our local community with medical and education fund assistance. The foundation's objective is to host annual events showcasing local talent and continuously striving to assist, promote, and sponsor "up and coming" performing artists.
The golf tournament will be held at Charwood Country Club (222 Clubhouse Drive - West Columbia, SC) on July 30, 2010. Cost is $60 per golfer. Registration - 12:00 noon. Tee-off at 1:00 p.m.
