#20 South Carolina notched a huge away victory tonight vs #5 Tulsa on a goal in the 68th minute by Will Traynor.

The South Carolina women's squad continued their winning ways with a 2-1 victory at Alabama. The Gamecocks improve to 11-2-2 and 5-0-1 in the SEC. The Crimson Tide drop to 8-3-2 and 3-1-2 (first SEC loss for UA).

Very good wins, both. Though, having seen Tulsa several times, I'd venture that they were a tad overrated at #5.

Big win last night for Mark Berson’s Gamecocks as South Carolina clipped N.C. State 1-0 at Stone Stadium … The win improved USC to 3-0 vs. the ACC this fall with the other victories vs. Clemson and Wake Forest.

USC, ranked 20th nationally, is now 7-3-1 overall and will host Central Florida in a key Conference USA match on Saturday at 7 p.m. … The Gamecocks are 2-1 in C-USA and ranked #2 in the South Region, while the Golden Knights are currently 8-2 and 4-0 in C-USA … UCF is coached by former Carolina assistant coach Bryan Cunningham and the Knights are ranked #5 in the South Region.

Also, the South Carolina women’s team coached by Shelley Smith, is ranked 14th in the national poll and #1 in the South Region with an 11-2-2 record and 5-0-1 SEC mark ... The Gamecocks will entertain #21 Georgia and Tennessee on Friday and Sunday, respectively at Stone Stadium.

All three contests will celebrate USC’s official mascot, Cocky, as he turns 30 years old this week.
