I didn't see many USC games this year, except for Clemson, and I would have to agree with Alma that Michigan got the better of the mid play which was a difference maker in the game.

Michigan "got the better of" several key aspects:
1) Steadier defending.
2) Solid two-way midfield play.
3) FAR more polish in the final third.
4) Better execution of overall gameplan.
In other words, a victory every bit as comprehensive as the 3-1 score.

Backscreen -- I won't disagree on most points made. However, Michigan had worse goalkeeping for certain. They had the "better players" certainly up top. #8 and #9 were studs. One is a true freshman and will be heard from again I'm certain at the next level.

On that note, Carolina had a fantastic year and really played with a "teamgeist" that has been absent in recent years. Kudos to the coaching staff and seniors for melding their winning formula this season!

Im glad Carolina is doing good in everything lately, glad to see Spurrier and Lattimore making noise.

I went to the game expecting more from the gamecocks. I think #9 and 11 were fighting for every ball, #10 seemed promising, very good player.

I left the game when the 3rd goal came in, it was just frustrating, and yes that Mark kid may be a good player but on that game he was completed outplayed the whole game, another old guy who was next to me would yield "challenge that one man," the kid would just stop instead of going for the tackle, most of his passes went to the opposite side, he woke up when we were 0-2 already, very dissapointing. We have some great talent in South Carolina, we should be better than that.

Im happy the team did good this season but Im not happy the way they lost, like I said our mid was completely dominated.
