Who are the keepers to look out for? The best? Top 5?

Many fine keepers throughout the state on both the boys and girls side. Irmo has returning Varsity keeper Senior Rob Sullivan (SCUFC Dev Academy and former SC ODP); and three other returners from last years JV squad: Senior Antonio Lazaro (SCUFC U-18 Elite), Senior Alex Hibshman (SCUFC U-18 Elite) and Junior Raad Wullner (CESA 93 Premier and 2010 ODP Region Pool).

Beebe for sure. Cunningham at CN, Sullie at Irmo, Kyle Walker at Ben Lippen, Whichman at Wando, Gause at Dreher are all good GKS.

All mentioned above are good, but I would say whoever has the best defense. Any keeper looks good if they don't face many shots or many quality shots!!!!

Lexington has an upcoming sophomore that is worth taking a look at.
His play style looks very familiar to me.
I'm not real big into numbers, but he just ended his club season with a 0.2GAA.

So is an upcoming sophmore really a freshman?

I think the kid from Batesburg was a senior. He had a heck of a game against BE though.

Agreed on the Eggers kid, though haven't seen him for a year or so. I assume he still has a powerful and accurate drop kick.

Wichmann (sophomore at Wando) is very fundamentally sound. it will be interesting to see how much PT he gets at Wando, with two pretty good upperclassmen still on hand.

As to defense making the keeper, sure. But a good keeper also makes the defense better, through talk, organization, trust, etc.

Beebe is the total package. Big, athletic, fundamentally sound, competitive. He makes beating Pinewood a real challenge for ANY team.

No argument there backscreen. Just wanted to point out that a great defense will make a keeper look great.

Lexington has a great keeper this year. During his season with his club, he was only scored on 3 times (during a tournament), and the team did not lose 1 game. The team then went on to win the state title for their age bracket.

White Knolls keeper is extremely good, you probably wont be able to tell from his stats since White Knolls defences is a little shaky, but if you watch White Knoll play one thing youll def see is some sick saves,

Ben Gause (sophomore Dreher)is as solid as they come. Not much of a team in front of him though.
