Why don't the clubs just be transparent and put a pie-graph out or Excel document with where their funds are spent? Seems to me, the club's constituents (parents that pay and kids that play) could demand this from the clubs. Then you would know how much is being spent on: Club Directors, Coaching staff, Officials, Facilities, Maintenance, Registration and State Association fees, Uniforms, etc.

It looks like area schools will be out AT LEAST through tomorrow. Does CESA have a contingency plan if districts choose to have school on MLK day?

They wouldn't expect kids to skip school, would they?

Rock Hill District 3 will have school on the 17th and likely, semester final exams will be that day as well. Who said, "School comes first"?

Another issue is lingering snow on the fields. If this happens, the combine will likely be moved to next Sunday. I wonder how much that would hurt college attendance.

And Fort Mill will be having Finals on Monday.

"We will be making a decision on Friday regarding our facilities and their readiness for play on Monday. We will also at that time have a better idea of the number of school districts who will have chosen to have school on Monday. We will put out an email to all participants on Saturday morning informing them of the decision."

Just returned from the Combine. It was very well executed and I was impressed with how well it was organized. I know a lot of coaches left early because of the cold and rain, but the club had no control over that. A special kudos to the University of SC, University of Kentucky, Penn State and Clemson (the ones I saw) for staying most of the combine and watching as many girls as they could. It was a first for us and I look forward to next year.
