The players from the Greenville area are only 1:45 minutes from Gainsville. They can stay in their own bed

Hard Headed, In the past when my daughters were at subregionals, there were team meetings and schedule changes (some due to remixing A/B rosters for evaluation) that the players needed to be available for. Do you think it would be feasible to not stay in Gainesville? Something I've never heard at a subregional game was, "Sorry I'm late, Coach...".

Remember Deltadog i spent 4 years of spending over 3 hours a night driving to practice and back. Team meeting at 8 or 8:30 and a 9 am game im still making the 1:45 min drive.

Hard Headed, I remember your travels well. My point was more about changes in schedules by the coaches or subregional staff. In the past coaches had the freedom to move players from one game roster to another for whatever reason (SCTEAM1/SCTEAM2) without restriction, because all of the players were staying together and leaving for the fields as a group. My concern would be for the player staying 1:45 away from the team that has an 11am game, is leaving for game at 8:30am only to find out when she arrives that she was moved to the roster that played at 9am. ODP coaches/staff in the past never had to take into consideration developing a phone tree for communications with parents during a regional or subregional event.

Not worried about your daughter missing anything. I know YOU'LL be there from dawn to dusk.

On second thought, there's also the possibility that the skies and fields in Gainesville are clear, and Greenville wakes up as a sheet of ice.
