Still learning all of the nuances of the new Scoreboard. There is a Calendar feature for each Classification. For example, the link below takes you to the Class 4A Boys calendar: http://www.eurosportscoreboard.com/page_calendar.php?c=47&mw=m&s=SCIf you go to the SC / Class 4A portion of the Scoreboard you will notice a "See calendar for Boys | Girls" link available.

Seriously B. If video submissions were part of the criteria used by Gatorade to select the player of the year you'd have to bet the incredible goal Ricky scored from six yards out on a rebound off of the right post during the 2009 State Championship would have been right up there at the top nationally!
Ricky's a great kid, a exceptional player and without question one of the best finishers we'll ever see play the game. He's every bit as deserving of the award this year as are so many others around the State.
In fact, you could pull virtually any name from their five years of club play or from any number of clubs and high school teams around the state and you'd find players who exemplify what the Gatorade Player of the Year Award was created to recognize in high school athletes.
Skill, character, commitment and leadership are a few of the traits they look for in an individual. As for 2011, you're absolutely right . . . Ricky would be a fine recipient after having scored five goals during three consecutive State Championships. We would be very happy for him and his family!!

Saw both teams last weekend, and spoke at length with a Nation Ford assistant. They were missing much of the MF in the 4-2 loss to Wando. Northwestern is more problematic -- a well-coached team with a great winning tradition, but perhaps down a notch or two on talent. The only goal they scored vs. wando was an absolute gift. That and a shutout vs. NF make me wonder how much scoring they will do.

was at the NF vs NW game thursday night... northwestern had better chances than nafo but couldn't put them away. northwestern definitely lacks much of the talent that they have had in the past, but they are one of the hardest working teams i have ever seen and that alone will take them deep into the playoffs

WK plays high pressure, out work you soccer. They also lost their goalies, a JV goalie that would have started (6'1) and a player to homeschool.

WK is overrated. They're not good enough defensively, and they always dwindle as the season goes on. It is what it is.
