I decided to do some research from people "in the know" instead of making it up this time. I discussed the magnet
situation and discovered that it is no longer an athletic advantage. It turns out that over the last three years the district determines who is accepted based on grades, resume and whether the students current school can not offer the program they desire. Putting academics first; a neat idea. When it first started I was informed that there was a little abuse but that has been corrected. What you want to be is special permission school like a Riverside or a Mauldin.
They can accept up to 20 students for no other reason than out of the kindness of their heart. Hmmmm.
This is a shocker and will take some time to digest for some of you. The important thing is I don't want any apologies and please don't bash the special permission schools. They were in the dark and since they are not magnet schools they have not developed the research and information processing skills I have now since I live near one.
The research is in its infant stage and I will be using my highly magnetized brain to the max to finish this project in a timely manner. Please don't feel sorry for us magnets because we will continue to compete as best we can and should at least be able to produce Duke football players.

As a footnote: the above blog is for entertainment purposes only. Some statements are facts and some just funny. If you have a problem determing which is which, please call 1-800-I Need help. Operators are standing by.

What's the problem? Contrary to some beliefs, Riverside and Mauldin have always tried to be nice.

"They can accept up to 20 students for no other reason than out of the kindness of their heart. Hmmmm."

We are schools with "open arms and hearts".

Those basketball players at Mann must have good resumes.

They came in 4 years ago during the abuse phase. . The well has dried up. Don't dispute my facts. Used a magnet grant for my research.

Kind of the same reason some folks have railed against Mann/Riverside in the past for sandbagging at 3A and nabbing a few titles. I can't blame them, but they did have a decided advantage via "recruiting".

We didn’t underestimate them. They were a lot better than we thought.

10, before you "throw mud" you might want to check your facts.

Can't speak for Mann, but for RHS, this season, last season and the season before, every player lives in the RHS district. No recruiting has gone on.

At least not after the real estate agent met the family at the airport.

Patriot, doesn't a "magnetized brain" indicate the presense of metal?

Mavs, you didn't tell me my daughters could have slipped over to Mauldin without the magnet application!

Soccer Crazy wears red and blue, not orange. We would have loved for your daughters to live in the ever shrinking Mauldin district. That Patriot magnet gets stronger and stronger.

Hey, I didn't say I wanted to live next to you, just thought being on the other side of 8-1 might be nice.

Mavs sure do seem to like that 8 goal number.
That's twice now, right?

No metal. I think it means I am attractive; like Mann
