As the ex coach the Laurens loss was hard to swallow. Heard from a parent that Westside's two varsity gks were out, so they played jv gk. Also the coach sat their two challenge players bc the girls forgot their jerseys. Then to compound matters, two field players walked off the pitch and one refused to return, so Westside fielded a ten girl squad.
The matter is a little too close to home for me to smile at, but I'm sure there were some happy Laurens players and some shocked Westside girls.
